Nice place near Evanston downtown. Very quaint and has a lot of seating. Very nice ambiance.Lot of Asian fusion options and vegetarian options as well.We got the pad Thai and veggie fried rice both were really good.The drink menu was also interesting and had some nice cocktails.Definitely recommend for a quick bite.Good portions for the price as well.
Hands down the best food I’ve ever had! I came here for my post graduate dinner and it was amazing First of all the service is amazing and our server Teresa was so accommodating to all our needs. We ordered all seafood and vegetarian items and all of them were phenomenal, none of the dishes tasted the same, but each had a unique and different taste. I can’t even pick a favorite dish because all of them were my favorite! Mary the manager was such a doll as well, she made sure we had a good experience and tried to alter every dish to our dietary needs. Thank you KOI for making this the best graduation dinner ever for me! Check this place out if you’re in Evanston!!!
I love sushi and unfortunately Koi did not hit the mark for me and my party. The Sushi we had was not right. Rice wasn’t fresh ? It just didn’t taste good. The crab Rangoon was amazing. Our server couldn’t answer simple questions. Very disappointed.
Absolutely wonderful! The inside the beautiful and warm, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious! Unfortunately I was only stopping by in between errands and during happy hour, so next time I'm definitely staying longer!
Came in for my brother's 40th birthday and the manager named Mary made the day absolutely fantastic. Attentive, polite, kind, and a total joy! The food was fantastic and service was even better. Thanks Mary for the hospitality. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I went to Koi for the first time last week. They have a happy hour with half price items and drinks and this is a hidden gem. The atmosphere was very nice. I sat at the bar and the bartender’s attitude and service was excellent. I’m going to come back and bring some friends.Thank you!
We made a large order of food but unfortunately it took almost two hours to be delivered when the time online said 60-70 minutes. I called at 7:45 and they told me the food had been picked up at 7:25. At 7:55 it still wasn’t here. I only live ten minutes from the restaurant. So all the food was cold. It might have been good if it was fresh but it was not enjoyable at all unfortunately.
My daughter ordered us dinner online. Drove 25 minutes to get it .She’s been expecting the place to be great. She ordered Mongolian beef dinner. It should be called many sliced onions with a tiny amount of beef..Seriously the plate was covered with more onions than anything else. This was February 16 2022.never again.
Nice atmosphere and attentive staff, but most of the dishes we ordered were somehow just not delicious except for the garlic shrimp, which was great. Everything else was both spicy and boring, not sure how that can happen.
Koi was recommended by a local resident I met while traveling for business and I was not disappointed. I tried the happy hr menu and everything was delicious and customer service was top notch.
