Honestly some of the best sushi I've ever had. The service was great, as was the atmosphere. We could watch the chefs working and it was amazing to see the level of concentration and attention to detail they put into their work.
BEST FOOD we have had in Chicago. And Reiley was by far the best server we have ever had. HIGHLY recommend this place!
my husband and I were blown away on how amazing the food and service was. order the Volcano and ask for Reiley to be your server! he made our experience more enjoyable than just great food!
Food is fabulous! Kansaku is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Evanston. My only mild complaint is that their delivery is slow, but that's usually because they are busy. Order delivery with time to spare. But we love this place and recommend it highly!
Phenomenal! Great service, great food, great vibes. My food and everything those at my table had was delicious. The green tea mochi ice cream was especially awesome to me.Good portion sizes too, so though everything is moderately priced you're getting good bang for your buck. Only downside I think the cocktails were just ok, but next time I'll just save and drink water because everything else was fantastic

I am so impressed with this dining experience. The food was amazing, the hot Sake was HOT in a good way. But most importantly, the wait staff was AMAZING. They worked so hard to cover a rush where like 15 people came in within a half hours time. They handled it like such professionals, and even though it was one of their servers first week working here, she was so good to listen/help her trainer/lead server. Being understaffed during these times is very difficult, but tonights team handles it like PROFESSIONALS. I will definitely be back.
First time here and we really enjoyed it! I got the Kansaku roll, very fresh and delicious. Service was great and the overall ambiance of the place was unique and enjoyable.
Visited twice. First time in 2019 was excellent and looked forward to returning. Second time in 2021 will be my last time; I will not be back-the good was that bad. Sushi was low grade, rice was not flavored properly. Entrees were so-so. Didn’t feel well after eating. Service was 3*. Something happened
