Probably the best chicken in the area. Chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned and the fries were great. I can highly recommend the mild sauce as it brings out a fantastic flavor and they pour it over the fries as well. Even with their increase in prices, I found it to be quite affordable and a good deal given how much food you get. Got high-quality fresh food in 20 minutes so service quality was great. Will be coming back here some more.
It was only one African American male taking orders, cleaning, cooking, and handling cash exchange. I thought he would've been overwhelmed with all the calls and walk ins. However, he remained poised and professional in demeanor. He was moving like a robot. I am sure he could've benefited from extra help. I ordered a 4 wing lunch special. The wings were cooked to perfection, the fries were fresh and cooked to order and the coleslaw was simply delicious. ? I needed to request a large coleslaw. It was sweet and tangy. It complimented my wings and fries so well. I will visit this location again, especially if that particular cook is on hand. Please give that young man a raise as he does the job of 5 staff. Amen!
The food was not good and the customer service lady phone etiquette sucked they really need to send them to school to learn how to treat your customers.
The food is great Harold's always doing is thang my issue is the parking the ticket man meter man he's talking to vehicles out there there's nowhere to park and it takes so long to get your food from Harold's where you'll have a $60 ticket for some $8 delicious food sometimes I feel like it's not worth it
Just finished eating my first order from the Evanston Harold's. The young lady I interacted was professional, polite and very pleasant. The rest of my experience was unpleasant enough to keep me away in the future. A barely noticable hand scribbled note posted inside said prices have changed. BOY DID THEY!! Their website menu listed a 6 piece wing dinner at $7.85 and says it includes fries, bread & coleslaw. However I was charged $9.50! Worse yet is that when I called the restaurant to inquire about my "missing" coleslaw, I was told that I had to request coleslaw since most customers said they didn't want it and throw it away. Harold's in Evanston no longer automatically includs coleslaw in their dinner orders even though their menu states that it is included AND they0 charge you for it.Misrepresentation of product features is a serious violation and is prohibited under state and federal laws.FYI: The wings had too much pepper and too little sauce that sadly did not taste like Harold's stellar version. I know because I had a wing dinner from Harold's in Aurora on Thanksgiving Eve and it was SUPERB!!!

Started calling at 7:02 to place an order but, no one answered the phone. Got there at 7:19 and was told...WE CLOSE AT 7:30. I will still try to support my people but, DO BETTER PLEASE.

Food is great..love it but the lady cashier Red was nasty.You Need to stop hiring people who will put a business down. You want to treat other people the way you want to be treated.
I need to stop coming here because I'm addicted to this place and it can't be healthy to eat here every other day. The catfish and chicken are fenomenal. The staff are very friendly. The only issue is parking. Put your emergency lights if you're driving to pick it up. Best to order ahead. Their mild sauce reminds me of Colemans. The chicken and catfish are always consistent. I will be trying something different soon.
