Always a must when we come to Chicago to hit Giordanos. Our first time at this location. No long wait as in the city. So you miss that fun craziness. But not the long wait. Deep dish all the way! Grace was our server. Super pleasant and she took great care of us!
Great pizza. Worth the wait for cooking times. We had a wrong order and they were quick to apologize and make it right. Only way to be better is if they had Coke products. But that won't stop me from going.
Delish first experience of Chicago deep dish pizza! The house salad was a great starter while waiting for the pizza! Would recommend.
Pizza was good, as expected. Our server was ridiculous. His standard line was, “it’ll be right out”. I get that deep dish pizza takes a while to cook. But getting straws, water, silverware, napkins, the check, and boxes got the same response multiple times. “It’ll be right out”, he said as he walked around telling the same thing to his other tables. He spent more energy not taking care of his tables, than actually doing his job. It was the same before he took our order. He stopped by three times to tell us he wasn’t ready to take our order yet. We were ready, but he would not let us tell him what we would like. It was as if he had never been in a restaurant before.
My husband, son and daughter-in-law went to Giordano's on a Sunday evening to celebrate my son's birthday. We had been there in the past and enjoyed our meals. This particular Sunday the restaurant was hosting a party for what appeared to be a little league team. About twenty boys ages 12-13, were yelling and screaming at one end of the restaurant making it nearly impossible for us to hear each other. This went on for more than 45 minutes while we were waiting for our pizza. Meanwhile, no one took our drink order or brought our appetizers. This was totally unexceptable.
Had a nice conversation with Dan at the front counter. Hard-working, approachable; do-it all kinda guy. Thanks Dan for the recommendations and info about the pizza and Chicago.I had the meat & more meat Medium pizza. Soooo good ??Highly recommended ? ??
I really hate to leave a less than complimentary review, however, after waiting for 45 minutes for my deep dish pizza it was not even hot. It was barely cooked and mildly lukewarm. I was very disappointed ?. The waiter was apologetic and kind but it was still just a big disappointment. It looked fabulous and probably would have been had it been the least bit hot.
Had our first dinner here and it was fine -- the wait for the pizza was a little long, but the pizza was very good and the wait staff nice.
Beware of delayed pick up for multiple pizza order on weekend.Ordered two pizzas and a salad for pick up at 7 pm last night and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes in the restaurant for my order. Understand it’s busy on weekends but was told by store associate it was only 5 mins when I arrived and “pizzas were being boxed”.Also, the pizza was cold when we served to our guests. What possibly could cause that after waiting for 30 minutes in the store for the pizza to finish!Not a great experience.And I still haven't heard back from the owner (it's been 5 days!)
Fantastic Pizza!...just make sure to order ahead of time as they take about an hour and a half to make a large Classic Chicago deep dish or never make it at all and won't call you either when its done and give you a false refund when you complain of Christmas Eve on an empty stomach. They should have advised me to not place an order they cannot fulfill or avoid taking my money at 6:45pm as they closed at 8:00pm for holiday hours to then receive nothing. I was trying to get their attention behind a locked door as they just shut the lights off as I walked up - talking to the shift leader and person who took my order and feel gutted being new to the area trying their pizza once before and loving it, but getting burnt really badly ordering a $52 pizza that never came and was lied to about receiving a refund, which is definitely shady behaviour. Bad taste in my mouth. Currently disputing the charges and rarely to never review places, but this is forewarning for other patrons.
