This was a disappointing deep dish pizza experience. Bland pizza. Also, Caesar salad had handful of inedible lettuce. With rising costs, they should really try better.

I came to Lou’s in Evanston because I wanted a sit down location so my kids can try Chicago pizza. Our server Patrick went above and beyond for us. So personable and so attentive. He chatted with us and genuinely made us feel special. My son 13 said mom tip him big which of course I did because years ago I was In The service industry. Chicago native and now reside in Las Vegas my kids were not used to the deep dish pizza and the chunky sauce on top but who cares. They got to experience Chicago pizza our service was amazing. The Caesar salad was great, the lasagna was great and we enjoyed. Thank you Patrick for making us feel great. You will go far in life whatever your future holds. Always shoot for the stars because people love working with people

ordered Lasagna and pizza. Lasagne was undercooked and lacking sauce. It had a spinach ricotta filling but was dry. Pizza had an excess of tomatoes on top. They have a great marinara sauce, that could've benefitted the poor pizza. We have better deep dish pizza in Georgia. We were visiting Chicago for one day and had to decide between Giordanos vs Lon Malnati's...unfortunately, seems like we made the wrong choice.

I ordered two pizzas and a dessert for myself, and kids to celebrate my birthday. When I arrived to pick up I was told the computer system went down, and it would be 20min. Then in 20 minutes it became 15 more. Finally Manny the manager came out to tell me it would be another 15-20 minutes. I will say they said they would refund my bill, which would have been great if I still wasn’t sitting here 1 hour after I arrived. Manny then just started to offer me random pizzas from other orders. Great exactly what I need, show up at home with the wrong pizza’s. I’m sure both my wife, and kids would be thrilled. The company should be embarrassed by both how this happened, and how it was handled. My wife if cooking Tony frozen pizzas for the kids while I spend my birthday in Lou’s lobby. Happy Birthday to me!!!!

We went to Lou’s for lunch yesterday. We first got there it wasn’t that crowded. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and took our orders. As we waited the restaurant got more and more crowded. Sadly our waiter was the only one there. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone running around so much trying to take care of all his customers. The smile never left his face. He was so apologetic about any delays. Fortunately the cashier did jump in to help him. But they were really slammed!Food, as always was delicious. We had salad and of course pizza. But the most important thing was the service. I know it’s really hard to get help these days. Especially good help. The gentleman taking care of us could not have done a better job under any circumstances.Kudos to Lou’s for having such outstanding employees.

The pizza is very good. However, the service was subpar at this location. We ordered one pizza about an hour and a half ahead of time so that it would be ready by the time we were sat down. However, it wasn't ready when we got there and we still had to wait 30-40 minutes despite ordering so far ahead of time.

Ordered a large take out Deep dish. Took about a half hour and cost 25 dollars, after tax.

We came to Chicago for my birthday and we wanted to try Lou Malnati and Giordano’s. No offense but Lou Malnati wins. The crust, the sauce and the flavor are simple and complex at the same time but most definitely, delicious

Pizza was suggy and wet. Garlic bread was chewy.. marinara sauce was watery?? Overall disgusting. Paid 55$ for a wet pizza and tough bread,, salad was the best thing of our order… cake was frozen n freezer burnt…. Also got changed multiple times but they claim it won’t clear & to call back in a couple days if not … I can’t wait a couple days for 100$ of my money… honestly pathetic. 0/10..

The pizza was practically a 5, deep dish Malnati Chicago Classic. The lip service a 4, the service a 1. Ordered online, where they ask for make/model/color of car and show up a few minutes before the 6:10 scheduled pickup. Sit behind a double parked person. Around 6:15 were asked what our order is. We describe it and confirmation #. We are asked about a coke and a dessert we didn’t order, just a classic and cookies. A few minutes later another person comes out and apologizes saying they messed up the order and mixed it up with another customer, they clarified our order and said they would rush our order to be ready in 14 minutes and refund our charge. The street cleared and we pulled into a pick-up spot. The first person returned and apologized, saying it was busy and that the order had been overridden. They told us we’d get a pizza but we’d have to pay for the coke and tiramisu. We told them we didn’t order a coke and ordered cookies for dessert and the other person told us the order would be fixed and for free. We sit until 7pm, watching a steady stream of people arrive and leave with pizza. If we don’t leave now we will be late, so I go in and tell the person at the cash register, “mr coke”, to cancel my order and refund me because we were going to be late. They fumbled looking for my order that they knew was messed up. The person who seemed to be a manager, standing next to them said we’d have to pay for, and I cut him off saying if they said coke I’d lose it. Then the “rush/free” person appeared saying my pizza had just finished, ending over a pizza and cookie box. The manager (?) said cookies, not coke. I was incredulous and pointed out how long I’d been waiting. He and the cashier tried to imply I wasn’t waiting in the right spot (@where were you waiting?”) I pointed out that two employees, including the cashier, had talked to me at that spot. Manager: well you’ll get the pizza free. Couldn’t care less. Terrible. When they discovered they messed up almost an hour early they should have put in a manual order and rushed it, with a comp or discount. Instead I’d had to pay for 3rd party brand frozen cookies.
