Well, I don't know what to say other than Cold stone was always my favorite place until they close their location on North Halsted. We had great expectations and we end up with a bad taste in our mouth literally!! My ice cream left a greasy after taste and the lady used a lot of coconut and made it after a few bites inedible and my partner has chucks of ice. It was an awful experience and will never come back.

I had the birthday cakre remix. Medium size. The woman was kind. The flavor was okey just not good enough for tourists. I mean to sweets and to big portions. Medium size im the us would be the XXL size in europe. Remember that when you buy any kind of things to eat/drink.
I am a long-time customer of Cold Stone, so was happy to have one close. Though Cold Stone ice cream is always delicious, I’ve had issues with every order I’ve placed with this store. My latest order appears to be less ice cream than I ordered, and it had an incorrect mix in. Costing over $20 for one item (photo below), I expect to receive what I ordered. The owner is very nice and personable, so it pains me to write this, but better attention to detail would go a long way. It would also be more of a positive experience if the store expressed a willingness to make things right for the customer when issues arise.
You can never be disappointed with the Cold Stone ice cream itself, though it can feel pricey compared to other ice cream places. I think things could be a bit better organized with basic things, like not having people sign their receipts with a thick name pen or filling up the napkins.
I came here with a party of 10 people. We all ordered our ice cream and got it but as soon as the last order was served and we payed our bill they wanted to kick us out into the cold 1 hour before closing! They didn’t even give us a chance to eat our ice cream! The teenager who took our order was very rude and commanded us to leave because of COVID-yet she wasn’t even wearing a mask! As of the time we went, all COVID restrictions were lifted. When we arrived at the store they didn’t say anything about not being able to dine in. I have been to other COLD STONE locations in the past and they let you dine in even during COVID. These people have an attitude. I would not recommend anyone going to this location due to bad customer service.
Extremely disappointed in the service at this facility. We came in as a group around 10pm (closes at 11pm) and we’re practically kicked out even though we had just got our order. Very unprofessional & rude employees. None the less, we enjoy coldstone but this location was a bust. Customer service is very important especially in a food chain store & the 2 employees ruined the experience for all of us.
unfortunate experience with customer service:there were two employees, and a family of 3 kids and 2 adults in front of us in line. it's december (under 40*), in the evening, and it's raining outside (this is important in a second). we were asked to wait outside due to COVID policies (note: one of the employees was not even wearing a mask properly while attending this other family). my mom, younger siblings and i felt very cold and of course, in the rain, uncomfortable being outside. seeing as the family in front just arrived and would still be a while, we asked if we could stand inside (away from the family, at the other end of the store which was over 6 feet)- at least just my mom and i.we got a very rude-toned response:employee: "no. this is the COVID policy, and we cannot have a certain amount of customers in the store"my mom: "how many people?"employee: "the amount in the store. you need to get out."that was it; no further explanation, no sign describing this policy, and more importantly: no proper mask usage from 1/2 employees, and no understanding whatsoever. being realistic, my entire family is vaccinated, was wearing masks properly, and would've stood on the other side of the store-- the chances of us getting /giving COVID were much less than us getting a cold from the literal rain and 35* weather outside.the policy doesn't bother me; the lack of empathy, rude tone, and no proper explanation from the employee did.EDIT (12/9/21):I appreciate the response given and changes being made as a result from this review/experience. I'm very glad that proper signage will be put in place and the Coldstone team at this location is addressing what occurred. Thank you for showing that you care about proper customer service!
Don’t go here! Horrible customer service. Given melted ice cream that tasted like rotten milk. Complained and customer service was atrocious. They said it was our fault if we did not like the ice cream and absolutely no refunds or returns. So disappointed.
