Sushi is pretty good here- I think it used to be better. Sashimi cuts are a bit thin though. They have great tempura appetizer and lots of rolls and such.

Not a best place for sushi, I ordered sushi and they bring it up sashimi which is more different, spent $55 for nothing, waitress was nice but interior are zero from out of ten

Food is delicious!! The service is great!! What more can I say??… oh almost forgot get the White Dragon Roll!! Amazing!!

Dined in with a friend and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I've been going here for years and everything is always delicious. The service is amazing and the staff are so welcoming and just give amazing recommendations every single time without fail. And for those looking to keep things in a decent price range, that also is a plus side!

I’ve been eating at Coast for nearly a decade, and it’s always been quality, tasty sushi. Still is. It has also always been a little expensive. But after their recent price increases they’re sky high now. I assumed it was just the market, but tonight I checked around for some place new and discovered that they’ve left the market in the area, far, far behind. If their clientele will continue to patronize them with their prices being so much higher than other quality competitors in the area, good for them. But they’ve gotten too rich for my blood. It’s just too poor a value at this point.

PLEASE DONT EAT HERE, the mackerel or “saba” made me so so sick. Me and my other party ate all of the same sushi except this particular one. I eat mackerel at other places all the time it’s my favorite fish!! Unfortunately 4 hours after I left I started feeling nauseous with a headache, then before I knew it projectile vomiting, when trying to inform the restaurant they told me my health was bad and it’s not their fault….had a vivid test it came out negative three vaccinations, the rash on my skin is caused my food borne seafood bacteria

We’re in food coma heaven ❤️

Dragon Maki, Rainbow Maki and salmon spring roll were all good. Portion sizes were small (as expected based on other reviews) but everything seemed fresh and I got hardly any bones in the unagi on the dragon roll (- that's always a plus when you order a dragon roll). A mini miso soup came with something I ordered I guess. It was hot to the touch and a mild spicy. I don't often eat spicy foods but it was pretty good. Service was very fast- though I went on a Fri afternoon at the beginning of the shift. My order was carry-out but the inside seemed nice, clean and big. I also liked the packaging for my takeout- I thought it was eco-friendly. Staff was very attentive to me. I walked to the Evanston location from maybe 5-10 mins away, very nice area.

Great friendly service (without a reservation) and sushi/saki. We’ll be back!

Good place to eat. Clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl was very good. They make their own sourdough bread bowls and rolls which are excellent. Had the seafood combination which had clams, mussels, shrimp scampi, and crab with small potatoes. Added the garlic noodles to the platter for an extra charge. Potatoes were okay but hey that not why you ordered the seafood right? My Boyfriend had the surf and turf with filet mignon and lobster which were both outstanding. She was very nice and let me sample it. Waiter could have been a little bit better with service as far as refilling my beer and checking on us more often, but then again he seemed like he was overseeing more tables than normal. Great experience and will be back again. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
