We live downtown and still have friends in the north suburbs. We are always on the lookout for a good restaraunt in the middle. Campanola is my new favorite. The service was great, unhurried but attentive. They have a "friendly" diverse wine list that leans towards California cabs. However we found a delightful Amarone, Ilatium Campo Leon. The fruit that jumped out of the glass was raisens, prunes and dark cherries that demanded I ordered the roasted duck, on polenta with a cherry mostardo sauce. Our friends ordered pappardelle bolognese, and veal marsala. I watched as mouth watering pork chops, short ribs and tenderloin came out of the kitchen. They also had a halibut special that sounded fantastic...but the wine set the tone for the entree. The word Campanola is the feminine version of rustic or from the countryside. I cant wait to visit this lady again.

A favorite for 25 years, never a disappointment. Cozy and elegant without being overly fancy; nice atmosphere with nice clientele, not noisy. The cuisine is always fantastic: delicious but not too rich. Also good service.

Excellent cuisine; extensive, quality wine list. Family took my Mom for her 90th birthday today, staff was attentive to our large party, service was great. Veal Scallopini was excellent, Duck was perfect, Catch of The Day (halibut) was fresh & flavorful, Pasta dishes perfect, salads fresh & desserts decadent. Very pleasant ambience. Looking forward to our next dining experience at Campagnola !!!

We had a large (10 person) group, they accommodated us on the back patio, Thank you so much! Food was exquisite. Our server, Wayne was extremely exceptional.

Phenomenal authentic dishes at the right price. One bite and you’ll keep ordering just to taste more. From service to drinks and desserts you have to try it!

Food, service, and ambiance are all incredible. You will likely need a reservation, as they tend to fill up quickly and pretty far in advance.

Absolutely wonderful experience all around. Nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food. We had appetizers/salads, main entrees and dessert and each course was flavorful and well prepared. So happy we chose to dine here this evening.

Wonderful little Italian restaurant, not much to look at outside but the food is delicious. The short ribs were tender and the polenta was soft and tasty. I would recommend this place and eat here again.White linen tablecloths, good cutlery etc.

The family take home meal is awesome! Desert included! I wish there was something left to photograph....its all just a blur. The white grilled polenta was heavenly, the green beans made me think of Summer. I could go on.

We got the burrata and octopus stew, both were great! I had the Spaghittusu cun Allu Ollu e Bottariga, which was great. Highly recommended if you like Sardinian style pasta dishes.Street parking was pretty easy to find in the surrounding few blocks. They are currently checking proof of vaccination.
