Great coffee
$14 cold brew from an indentured servant non-payed undergrad? Where is this $14 even going for a bland coffee that takes cents on the dollar to make? Don't fall for their lacquered wood branding package, all they do is prey on the eagerness of undergrads to serve 3-4x amplified coffee pricing so the "founder" can serve his purpose as profiteer of the year.
The coffee shop is located in the university main library and offers a variety of drinks, pastries and small bites. Having a Farmers fridge also adds to the variety. Personnel very lovely. The quality of drinks are good. Two problems:
BrewBike is a game changer! Conveniently located at The Rock and Annenberg Hall, BrewBike serves freshly brewed coffee at a very reasonable price. It is student-owned and student-operated so when you buy coffee with them, you're supporting a student enterprise. They offer coffee, tea, and various snacks. One thing to note: they only accept cards, no cash.
Student-run Brewbike coffee service now inhabits Cafe Bergson. The drinks are okay, but a little pricey- you may want to check out the Starbucks in the Norris Student Center. However, Brewbike/Cafe Bergson is still a good place to grab a cup of joe for an early class in the library or long night of studying. Highlights include the ambiance and the pastries, brought in from Bennison's Bakery in Evanston.
