This food was delicious!! The staff was also extremely friendly and accommodating - we came in close to closing time but the still seated us and let us take our time to finish. Everyone loved their food and we left very happy customers!

Charming gem in Evanston, extensive menu and very accommodating.

Great local spot for reliable pan-asian dining options.... I'm a regular for the tempura, shrimp shumai, and the pad see ewe noodles which are delicious! Food is always steaming hot and clearly freshly made.I've been ordering from them since we moved in December 2021, but wanted to shout them out. It's been a tough season for restaurants. If you're looking for something new, try them out! Online ordering is super easy for pick-up, but I have not tried delivery.

Everything great except Japanese photo book which contains very explicit photos. Yikes, time to leave!

Do not use online ordering. Order acknowledge and delivery time are apparently auto sent to you but they don’t seem to check for online orders which means an hour later you realize no food is coming and your night is pretty messed up.

The food is incredible good!! Service top 10!!Thank you guys!

Food was good and I’d go back but it won’t be my go-to. Had the service been energized and enthusiastic I’d likely have become a regular.

Had pot stickers (gyoza)...and sushi.Friendly, not crowded.

When I first tried this place when it opened, I was disappointed because they used ginger & cilantro in the dishes I ordered & they weren't included in the menu description. I tried it twice & had the same experience so I hadn't gone back. But recently a friend & I met for lunch nearby only to find all the other restaurants nearby were closed (it was on a Monday) & Bonsai was open & we decided to give it another try. This time I was pleasantly surprised. I asked if the chow fun I was thinking about ordering had cilantro or ginger in it & was told they could make it without them, so that's what I got. It was so good Bonsai is now my go-to when I'm craving those wide, saucy rice noodles.

Great family place.
