It was good when it first opened, however, now it's not.■Being in the square of Elmhurst, you tend to get a lot of foot traffic. So business is plentiful, and can get crowded. Park in the parking deck, walk over.■The classic swirl at the top...non existent here.?■The consistency (I know it's soft serve) is lacking. Sizing is totally off. I'm paying for a large and getting a small or medium??? ?■Maybe some employees are upset looking because it's kinda too warm in there. (psychological tactic! ? buy more!)■The neon sign could be a little more noticeable ??♂️.■Otherwise, it's "cheap" ice cream. At this point Kilwins is 5/5 and I'd go there for ice cream, maybe DQ for smoothies.
Had a pickup order thank you but my cup was overfilled with the lid smashed on top. Very messy ? ruined a lot for me
Came from out of town and took my nieces and nephews for some a late treat. They were joyful and quick!
This is not the dairy queen of years ago. The milkshake we ordered was mainly water with ice cream. Way overpriced.Further, they need to get the microphone fixed because it just doesn't work well. We had to shout 3 times and then we were finally told to come to the window to place the order.Bad news.
Everything looked very dirty. Not to mention they had half the seating blocked off for a man who appeared to be homeless.

Do NOT get ice cream cakes here. Almost no fudge was in it. All crumbles no fudge. I’ve been getting cakes for 25+ years at various da restaurants and used to make them as a teenager this was clearly trying to be cheap and not made to recipe
I love DQ but today was disappointing this is not the way a banana split should look.
So glad Dairy Queen has come back to Elmhurst! This location is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. I stop in to get a blizzard every time I'm nearby - absolutely delicious!
