First of all, I would never come back. I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. I understand it was lunch time but staff did not even acknowledge nor care when my group of 5 people standing in the front of the entrance door. The person who ordered take out was waiting for his order more than 30 minutes as he was still standing when we finally sat down after long waiting time. Horrible customer service and no one cared we were waiting or not.The server started taking orders from people came after us and they got their order first as well.I ordered 6 different items and only 2 items came first and second order came 10 minutes after. As 2 people almost finishing their meal, I was still waiting for 3 items so had to go upto the front as no one showed up.When I asked the staff for my rest of my order, it seemed like it was not even ready after 30 minutes so I had to cancel my order as I was running out of time. I was there more than a hour and only 3 items came out until I told them to cancel other items not even ready yet. There was no apologies or anything.I usually like this place a lot with great food but they really have to pay more attention about customer service and training, especially when they are busy. My lunch time was ruined and am not recommending this place to anyone anymore.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in the US, hands down. Great staff, phenomenal food, and extremely affordable prices!
After hearing so much about this place from friends we finally made it out here and wonder why we haven’t come here earlier. The atmosphere is very inviting but more importantly our server and hostess was super kind and knowledgeable. We got the eel rice, eggs, and chirashi. The eel entrée was definitely the star of the show, while everything else did not disappoint either. We will definitely be coming back to check out other items on the menu. For those who enjoy an adult beverage or two they have an extremely extensive long menu of Japanese beers and spirits.
Great service and the food is delicious! We tried the Korroke, Katsu Jyu, Chirashi, and the Kurumaya Gozen with beef. Definitely a new favorite for Japanese food with very reasonable prices.
First time here even though it’s been here for 5 years. Located very close from Lou Malnati’s.Trying lunch before the crowd came. Sushi lunch and Chireshi Sushi are ok. The raw Fish (sashimi) were not as fresh as we expected.Sushi and miso soups are good.Good service
This place is AWESOME! All this food for $12 before tax, and it's DELICIOUS. I got a teriyaki salmon bento (teriyaki on the side) for lunch and it's enough for two lunches easily. The salad was fresh, the salmon wasn't fishy tasting at all, the miso was good, AND I got shrimp and broccoli tempura, a spring roll, rice, and a 4 piece California roll on top of all that! And the employees were so sweet. They even gave me a mug of hot tea to sip while I waited for my carryout...which was all of 2 mins since I'd called ahead.
Friendly staff fresh seafood. Large menu selecttion. Everything taste perfect, not too salty or sweet. Price is good compare to other Japanese restaurants.
High quality fish and delicious taste. I had their akane soup and chirashi bowl and both were great. Their hospitality is warm and they don’t make you wait long for your food
Excellent service from a wonderful staff that serves amazing food. Their sushi is fresh and generous. Their curry katsu is perhaps the best in the Midwest - highly recommend.
A great family restaurant for lunch and dinner with a wide variety of authentic Japanese dishes and sushi. You could really taste their well prepared ingredients everyday when they open up twice a day (once before noon and again before evening)
