My first time here; just came for dinner, and really enjoyed it! The food was good, but the service was excellent! There was seeming only one girl covering all of the tables in the whole place, inside and outside, but regardless, was totally attentive, and never felt neglected. Sydney (I think that was her name) was an excellent waitress, and as a person who manages in service, I want to make sure she gets recognition, as this is the kind of thing that makes people come back. Speaking of which, I totally I tend to, and hopefully have a chance to check out the bar. ?

My family and I came to enjoy dinner at this local restaurant. Unfortunately service was very slow and it took long periods of time to get our food orders taken, preparing and delivered to our table. The saginaki appetizer was a good portion, enough to share share with 4 people. The salmon was delicious but the broccoli was overcooked and mushy. The chicken salads were large and full of chicken. The Chicken Montana sandwich had a juicy chicken breast but it lacked flavor without being smothered in BBQ sauce. The service and quality of food just aren't at the same level as the Niko's location in Pingree Grove.
My family had a great time here! Friendly staff, great food, fun atmosphere!! We had the Saganaki, garlic Parmesan wings, burgers, gyros platter. Big portions also.
First the actual food was very good but the service aspect ruined it. This was a simple carry out order. I got there when I was told the order would be ready, after I had to re-call them because the order taker didn't bother to tell me how long it would be.I waited a reasonable time until someone came. They couldn't find my order in the computer and thought I must have called another store. So she checked while showed her the phone number I called and the names of the women I talked with. She went and found the first woman who was sitting on the patio with a small computer, a beer and talking to a man who was also having a beer.She came to the desk said she remembered the order and researched for it again. Not finding it she said it must be a computer glitch and told the first girl to re-enter it while she went to the kitchen to see if it might be already made.I then watched her leave the kitchen and go back to the outside table and continue talking to the man she had been sitting with.I stood there with no idea what was going on until a young man came up and asked how it was going. When I told he apologized went to the kitchen to check and in a few more minutes returned with my order.This whole thing took about 20 minutes ( the time I was originally told it would take to make the order) .Lastly remember I started this saying the food itself was very good and it was but I won't be back.
Briana N. was an awesome server! She made our night! ☺️ She was kind and attentive and the service was phenomenal! Our food was great as usual! Drinks were on par! ? ? We will be back and definitely ask for her! She is one of the best! What a great team they have here. Love it!
Cool atmosphere and really nice people. However I was somewhat disappointed in the food. The cheese curds at old republic are 10 times better, the fish fry had really no taste to it and the sliders were relatively bland. Prices were reasonable.
Family friend, staff is great, welcoming atmosphere, menu has many choices.
Excellent food and excellent service. The place was packed when we were there and had a little bit of a wait because we had a large party, but it was worth the time. I highly recommend Niko's Tavern on Route 20 in Elgin!
Usually good, but my most recent visit did not meet expectations. Prime rib special was 1/3 fat. I know what prime rib is, but this exceeded the normal fat content. Soup included with special did not arrive. Server took it off the bill which equaled a whole dollar discount.
