The food was very good and the service was excellent! I think the restaurant needs to invest in some new carpeting and turn the lights up.

Fathers Day

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Jimmy’s Charhouse, Elgin. The filet was done perfectly. And the Grecian chicken was fantastic! Our waiter was quietly attentive and efficient. The ambiance was good. Cocktails we’re delicious too. Jimmy’s is our go to place, time after time.

If you love Lamb chops or steak this is the place to go. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. Some in our party had the salmon and they also loved it.

We were celebrating my daughters new job. Sylvia, our server, was AMAZING!!!!! The food was delicious and we had a wonderful evening.

Went there on a Sunday nigh. It was not busy at all. Host met us and took us to our table. Not a very friendly guy. Upon sitting, my wife noticed that her bread plate was dirty and she immediately handed it to the host. No apologies, nothing. He just took the plate and brought her a new one. Not a great start. Menu is rather large, always worries me because you cannot do everything well. French onion soup was a bit bland. Salads were fine. Food was fine, not great. Portions were large. We had two different kids of chicken, rids, and a chicken sandwich which was not seasoned. Waitress was really good, and due to the restaurant not being busy she was attentive and the place seemed to be overStaffed. Upon leaving, again , nothing from the host. No thanks for coming, have a nice evening, not a word. Everything was just ok, not really what you go out to eat for.

Special dinner with the family made with reservations. Seated but took over 10 minutes after seated for the server to return...saw him several times but never made an effort to acknowledge us. He was training another server so this would have been an even better opportunity to show the new hire that a simple acknowledgment even if you are busy goes a long way toward happy customers. Once we did finally get attention, the service was solid and timely. Food was good - offered gluten free options for one of our party which was great. Steak was prepared well, though not very flavorful

the owner can sell his business and treat women with respect . absolutely ruined my families and mine mothers day. if you value family I can't understand how this would be a place to go spend money and enjoy your family to get talked down to and disrespected. You should be ashamed. nowhere to be seen all night untill 2 of my sisters and sister in law left and verbally assaulted calling them garbage after horrible service and like its our fault. Surreal. I'm not going to lose sleep over it but what a world we live in where the customer is wrong somehow here. Service industry you are to serve and be attentive. that's about it

Our reservation was for Mother's Day and the restaurant was extremely busy but the service and the food were outstanding. The restaurant was well staffed and ran smoothly considering how busy they were. I had the Filet and it was cooked to perfection. I could have cut it with a fork. My husband had Prime Rib and he was very pleased that it was cooked exactly as he ordered. The only disappointment was that our Saganaki was not flamed at the table but we did enjoy other peoples "oopah". We have not been at this restaurant for several years and now it is on our number one list. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

GREAT service at the bar from Brett & Amy!!!
