We were at Schnitzel Fest! So good! The sauces we had were the red pepper and green peppercorn. They were excellent! The schnitzel was perfect!
Food was good. Marcie our server not a good experience. Took our order NEVER returned to our table !! Someone else cleared our table, someone else bought us our bill. Would not be returning any time soon!!
Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!
Food was good, although it arrived cold, and the service was horrible. 45+ minutes before our food came out and this was before it got busy! The manager ended up serving us due to our complaint and because our server was busy attending all the other tables except for ours..
This was certainly a gem. I was meeting family in the area and found Al's. So the food was really great. Service was great. Decor was pleasant. Prices were very reasonable. I would certainly come back.
Best European cuisine. Must have is schnitzel. Also their shake is the best around Chicago area. Another favorite is their monthly specials. One of the best is Swedish meat balls.
Delicious food and the milkshakes always hit the spot! My family loves the Deluxe Grilled Cheese and Manhattan Tuna. One of our favorite spots in Elgin and it’s become a family tradition!
