First time dining and I was well pleased. The Crab cakes were amazing, as well as the Lobster Bisque. The hostess was very inviting. Our server doubled as the Bartender, but he still did a decent job.Wishing there was a location in Phoenix,AZ that would be great. All in all I will be back when I'm back in town.
It's worth a try, but was just okay for me. Our server was wonderful - very polite, attentive, and made sure we understood the market price before ordering. I was a little surprised by the high market prices, but everything is expensive right now so I can't be mad about that. When the food came it was kind of lack-luster. Corn was overcooked and the potatoes just didn't have much flavor - I guess I just expect more flavor from "cajun" food.My sister however thoroughly enjoyed her meal and loved the crab legs and coleslaw, so I think it's just a matter of personal opinion ?♀️
Atmosphere, amazing. There is room for everyone here. Very welcoming from the time you walk through the door and are greeted. Wait staff, extremely familiar with all of the dishes and very kind. And a topper for us was being seated to their large fish tank and watching their little Yellow Zang swim laps? It was too cute. ?My husband enjoyed the grilled sampler, I had the blackened shrimp alfredo. I want to hug whomever made my dish but I chose not to get thrown out by making my way back to the kitchen and just informed my waiter? My dish was accompanied by a side salad; garden or Cesar, I of course as always I went Cesar. Too yum not to. They top their Cesar salad with fried strips of flour tortillas instead of croutons which was refreshing for a change, and it added a completely different flavor profile which was absolutely lip licking.?My blackened shrimp alfredo had just the right amount of southern heat that was nowhere near overbearing with their signature rub. The noodles were cooked to the perfect level of Al dente to pick up and hold the sauce. And the sauce…..Let’s talk about that sauce shall we….? Creamy, silky, loaded with cheese, melt in your mouth, smack your aunt twice, absolutely devine! The flavor profile of their alfredo sauce in conjunction with their signature blacking spices on the shrimp….I had to force myself to stop eating it, and I wasn’t even able to get to my grilled garlic bread. I had enough to take home for 3 more meals. We reside 3 hours south and will be back!Thank you to everyone at Gulf Shores of Edwardsville for an amazing anniversary meal for my husband and I, and we will be back. ☺️
We really enjoy dining here when in town. Food is fresh. The salad was eye appealing and various greens, not something from a bag. Green beans were also fresh and not from a can, prepared fresh. Same for the seafood, excellent. It is handicapped accessible and has handicapped parking. Parking is free. Also a family friendly place to eat. We plan on eating here in the near future.
I ordered shrimp and crab cakes with slaw and red beans with rice. Order came out timely but the red beans and rice was not piping hot. Late I found a whole bay leaf in my mouth from the dish. Glad I didn't swallow it. Shrimp was satisfactory but the crab cakes reminded me of salmon patties from my youth - not a pleasurable experience. Waitress took forever to refill my tea and then disappeared. When she did check on me I asked for the check and again that took what seemed like forever. The restaurant was not that busy as the time so I was a bit dismayed by how long presenting the check took. First time there. Menu is extensive but not sure I am going back anytime soon
my wife and i went in the early afternoon on a sunday. the restaurant was fairly empty and we were seated quickly. th e restaurant has lots of special deals including mixed drinks. the sunday special was a bloody mary. i normally avoid these because restaurants use too much worcester sauce and thats about all you can taste. i mentioned this to our waiter and he said he would go lite. when he brought the drink he said if i didn’t like it he would take it back and get me something else. well it was great and i told him it was one of the best i had ever had. i got a cup if the gumbo which was very nice. they had a halibut special which my wife got. i got the baked grouper. both were excellent. they had a nice selection of sides. i got the dirty rice and fried okra which were both very good. along the way i got a hurricane which our waiter told us again if we didn’t like it he would take it back and replace it. it was very good so no need.. service was very good, food very good. prices a littke high but for the quality and quantity of food it was fine. would gladly go again.
