Always accomodating! Staff friendly, had a party of 9, all very well taken care of!
The food was good and decent but the service was horrible. Everytime I have visited this place the food was good but I've never had a good service here. Just a heads up as well. If you order a lemonade here they charge you for refills. I was charged for 3 lemonade since I recieved 2 refills during my dinner.
Good food, good service, friendly atmosphere, relaxed. It's always a good time there.
I have visited this location in Edwardsville since it was a Walgreen's many many years ago. My recent trip to Edwardsville found my husband and I wanting Mexican food one evening and, after driving past my former home on Harvard Drive, we stopped in at El Maguey for margaritas and chicken fajitas, chips and salsa. We were not disappointed. Great experience! Delicious food in a comfortable environment!
The tortilla chips were stale, the queso dip was running, the burritos were alright, but the service was the worst. Slow to take orders, didn't check up on drink refills until we were done eating. I wouldn't recommend anyone eating here.
This location is a hit or miss.They do have a fly problem. That was the first thing I noticed when dining in. I sat closer to the kitchen El maguey has gone down over the years. The quality of food has decreased but their prices have increased. It’s giving Taco Bell ..Barely any cheese on the nachos you always gotta ask for extra queso cheese. Don’t get the nachos Togo the container makes the chips soggy af
This location was great. They were able to handle our large baseball group of 16 parents/kids. Food is always solid @ El Maguey.
This place is always great. I haven't had a bad experience with this restaurant in probably at least 20 visits. Tonight the food was especially good. They never close early or turn us away. Always friendly.
The wait was 30 minutes and they were super slam packed and I can definitely see why! The service was the best I have had in so long. Very attentive but not annoying . The food was extremely tasty. Salsa cold and flavorful. And their was always someone pre bussing our table. Nothing went un noticed. Good job guys!PS the guava margarita is snappin
El Maguey (Edwardsville) has excellent service and food. The staff were fast, friendly and all wore masks (thank you!). I had an amazing combo with a chimichanga and tamale. We will be back.
