I have eaten burgers all over the world, and without a shadow of a doubt Maxwell's makes the most perfect burger I've ever had. I wake up craving one every single day. Great customer service, food is always fresh and comes out fast no matter what you get. Highly recommend.
YUMMY! First time carried out from here & won't be the last. Had the double cheeseburger, thinking "McDonald's sized." Uh uh. It was BIG! And really good. The gyro was also good. Highly recommend this place!
I've been going to this place for over a decade. When I moved to California I missed it a lot and when we moved back to Illinois it was the first place we ate at.I now live 30 minutes away so I don't get out there as much as I used to but we still take the time to go out there and eat.The owners are two surly looking brothers who are amazing people if you take a minute to chat them up and get to know them.The food here is a great representation of Chicago style food and they are super generous with their fry portions!Also try the Italian Ice. Still the best I've ever had!

The absolute best fries in all of the suburbs of Chicago! They are so yummy; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Always fresh too! This place is a hidden gem. Their cheeseburgers, chili, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs are all delicious.
Great food, great prices, great portion sizes and great staff.Stop letting the fast food burger cartels sell you food bearly fit for human consumption, remind yourself what real, actual, delicious food is like and stop in and support a genuinely locally owned buisness!
This is the best cheesy beef you can get in Downers Grove but worth a drive no matter where you are in DuPage County. Definitely better than Portillo’s beef just not as well known. The beef quality and bread a phenomenal! The cheese burgers and hotdogs are good too but the beef can’t be passed up. Not sure why the owner always seems so mad though ?
My daughter and I were really in the mood for a good hot dog. We found this little place and thought we'll try it. I was so glad we did. The dogs were really good and they have Maxwell polish. Had one it was great and their fries OMG so good get a small cause you'll never finish the large.
122221 Love their fried chicken sandwich (big and never dry) I always get their great fries too, and it will run you about $11 without a drink. It's worth it, in my opinion.I always call in for pickup; the place is small and can get busy.The dining area is old and needs some upgrading. it's not a place I would say to bring a date or family for dining in and usually used by waiting customers for pickupThey are also in a mall with a not so great property owner, so the area(mall) is not kept up at all! Let's just say slumlord but don't let that deter you.They seem to sell a lot of Gyros, which I'll have to try next.My friends likes their beef (I have not found a beef I like anywhere, not a fan so not gonna say anything about their beef)Mask mandateThey do have some plexiglass dividers hanging, but the owner wore no mask, some of the cooks wore them (properly) but not all so if that's a concern, def do a call ahead for pickup.
Chicago beef? Yes, please. Get the giardiniera if you want to do it right! Best place to get a beef sandwich in this neck of the woods! I'm always glad to come home and stop by!
