This is a combo KFC & LJS location. It's not located close to me so I only go sporadically due to the distance. But today was a lovely day for a drive. The staff is typically friendly & today was no exception. The window staff took my order correctly & chatted with me a bit once I reached the window. Food wise, I'll admit the LJS items can be hit or miss on freshness. Today, my standard L7, shrimp combo, was on the hit side. (2 months ago...not so much.) Shrimp was piping hot, fries were fresh & the hush puppies had soft insides with a crisp exterior. I also ordered a piece of chicken which tasted great even though it was the last thing I ate. This location also has the mini bundt cakes. I tried the chocolate & brought home a lemon. The chocolate was moist with mini chips. A sweet winner. I chose to eat outside in my car to enjoy the weather & read but their dining room was also open.
I've called this location 5 different times. I wasn't going to take the 30 min drive without making sure I would get the long john silvers I wanted. 1st time I called they were shut down for serving food they shouldn't have, 2nd time, 2 days later they were shut down for cleaning issues. 3rd time at 830pm they said they were closing, even tho the site says 10. 4th time they said long john silvers closes at 830 and KFC closes at 9. This last time, I've get nothing but a busy signal for the last hr. I've been craving long john silvers, but even just by calling them I will never make the drive to this location. I hear the one location out by the city is better. That hr long drive might be more worth it then what I've gotten or haven't gotten over the phone from this location. Soooo disappointed
Had a craving for Long John Silvers (a real Long John Silvers) fish and hush puppies. Drove 45 minutes to get here just for that. When I finally arrived, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I saw their menu and noticed they had a mega limited menu and only did two hush puppies for $1.19. That's more than $0.50 per each one! It's a hybrid KFC/LJS hell of a joke. I just left and went elsewhere to eat.
The only long John silver's left in the state I think We love their fish
Since the Long John Silvers closed in Hanover Park we've been missing their food. After our stop in Downer's Grove from Schaumburg we'll never be stopping again. The other reviews were right. My chicken was burnt and hard as a rock. And I never got my hush puppies which sounds like a good thing. They didn't have any pie either. Close this location too and re open Hanover Park. Greasy nasty rip off.
Wish I could leave a 0 star. Customer service is horrible and they fry the fish in the same oil as the chicken. We requested for a different oil for dietary reasons but they refused.Complete disregard for others. Save your money.
They cooked the fish fresh. Patient customer service.

Downright PISSED OFF with this place. You can't walk in and eat inside. Only allowed inside for mobile ordering/take out. Sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes, WITH NO SERVICE OF TAKING MY ORDER. There's a line of 3 cars in front of me. At this rate... I would be for over an hour. I LEFT, DROVE NEXT DOOR AND WALKED INTO WENDY'S AND ATE. I left Wendy's 20 minutes later and the same car that was in front of me, when I left the drive thru, was still there and still had 1 car in front of them.
Absolutely the worst customer service manager and team members. They refuse to do their job they are getting paid for. No one in line or restaurant and they tell me 30 minutes. And was VERY rude
