Everything you read in the reviews is true. This is the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to and I have no other locations within reach. It’s painful having to go in there to see Chipotle that I love being ran by careless people. This location seriously needs to just close and something else be put in. 80% of the staff are just awful and I feel bad for the new hires that are really trying hard and they are exposed to this terrible toxic environment for their first job.
If you guys ask for extra meat let me tell you it's not worth itThe $5 dollars and change that they charge just to put like enough meat to make a mini tacoIt's not worth itJust get a whole new burrito bowlBecause it's about the same priceHopefully they won't do it to you how they did it to me
This place sucks. I have never had worse service in a chipotle in my life, the man putting together my food was bored faced and mumbling the entire time and when came time to pay I gave a $20bill to cover my order of $9 and some change. Girl ringing me up goes "we don't have exact change" and I assumed she would give me some semblance or something close to what I was owed but she hands me a ten and that's all. I don't care that I missed out on the change I was owed, but am I supposed to believe there was not a single coin in that register? Which even if there was not then this location is stealing from every customer that overpays just because this location refuses to keep their coins stocked. Terrible. Need for a management change and employees that know how to act like functioning adults.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but this review reflects a year of rude service. I've gone back because I don't have time to go to another location, and Chipotle is one of the only quick-stops for vegetarian options. (I work full time and taking classes so sometimes I just need something quick for on-the-go.)I thought I was the only one experiencing rude eye-rolling and bad overall customer service, but after sharing my stories with friends/coworkers in the neighborhood I realized it's a constant occurrence.I gave them a pass for a long time, too, because I've worked food service (McDonald's) and I hated it, and because... pandemic.I'm a low-maintenence customer. I'm not too picky. I mean, it's tacos... you can't be unhappy with tacos! It's not the food that is the problem, it's the employees. I don't even come during busy times. One time I came in and there was only one door unlocked and people were struggling to leave with enough food for their office, so I unlocked the door and held it open for them. There was a package leaning against the door that had been locked so I moved it out of the way. As I was being rung up by the ticking time bomb of a person that was ringing me up, I let them know that there was a package and where I had placed it (out of the way of people.) Their face turned even more annoyed as they rolled their eyes, left me hanging, and walked off to get the package. They returned and with lots of neck and shoulders attitude they said to me "Just let someone know next time," (um, what!? Do I work here? Did I not just let you know!?) This is 7 months into rude service from this place so I just about went off, but I took a deep breath, paid, and carried on with my day.[Insert many more rude experiences here][I swore them off, but then got a gift card so I reluctantly went back today]Before I could say I wanted sour cream the person constructing my tacos started closing the lid. Nervously I said, "I wanted sour cream," and the face this person shot me was full of pure hate and ignorance so I said, can you just put some in a cup for me? I'll put it on myself." (See, I'm easy-going and adaptable!) The hate continued as they filled the entire cup of sourcream and continued to glare and eye roll before plopping my lunch on the counter.Luckily the person who rang me up was lovely or I think I would have (finally) caused a scene.I will not be back to this location. Ever. Moreso, if you can avoid this Chipotle, if you suffer from anxiety, if you're easily triggered, if you're not a vegetarian/short on other food options, or if you're not stopping in here just to see if it's as bad as described, then I suggest budgeting your time to go to the one closer to 83 or the one on Butterfield.I'm not sure why the culture at this location is so toxic, but it usually starts at the top and trickles down so.. Hopefully that changes and people can be happier at work (or at least not hate it!) Either way, not my problem.
Very slow service. There was a long line when I arrived. I waited in line for about 7-10 minutes to order. Finally got near the front of the line only to have the line abruptly stop. When I looked to see what was causing the hold up I saw that the staff decided to prepare 7 online orders in a row while there was a line of about 7 customers waiting in person to place an order. After waiting even longer I finally left and went to Los Comales in Lombard. They have better food there anyway. Won't be going back to this Chipotle.
Almost zero chicken in the Burrito..not kidding 4 cubes of meat per half burrito. I know prices are going up for chicken but they raised their rates. Shrinkflation. Almost chipped a tooth on the raw rice. thought I'd try them again, maybe the person on the meat scoop was off, nope...same lame burrito. Just a thought, are they being instructed to jip customers on meat? NOT WORTH $11 for what you get...not at ALL.
After reading some of the other recent reviews looks like I'm not the only one who has come across Ms. Attitude. I asked for salsa with my burrito after grabbing my online pick up and she says "which one". I say "both of them" (meaning red and green). And she rolls her eyes at me for no reason and slightly shakes her head (yes I know they have many kinds of salsa lady, when a customer wants it they are asking for the red & green salsa that literally every burrito place in town gives you with your order, not sure why it wasn't in my order). Also the place is filthy with smudges all over the glass door. My guac with my guac and chips is not even green, how old is it supposed to get before you don't serve it anymore? Ms. Attitude needs to find another job if she's can't handle dealing with customers. This unchecked attitude is very common among sisters. She needs to listen to Kevin Samuels. My main reason for leaving the review is not her though, it's just how filthy the place is. That glass on the door hasn't been cleaned in how long? The naperville Chipotle is quite busy at lunch time, this one hardly had anyone in it. Now I know why. I won't be going back to this location.
Most of the staff was very kind as usual. But one of the female employees was incredibly rude for literally 0 reason. I asked for salad dressing and a side of guac and she snapped and said “do they want anything else” AND ROLLED HER EYES to the male employee who was checking us out. So…I can’t ask for add ons? This same female employee was being loud and messing around with her coworkers who were clearly trying to work.
Horrible service. Rude staff. Second time I’ve been in this store and have not been acknowledged. No hi welcome to chipotle or anything. Stood there 10 minutes before the manager even walked over and asked what I wanted. Then the cashier had the nerve to get an attitude because I got annoyed with their horrible customer service skills. I forgot why I stopped going to this location and todays visit was a reminder. I won’t be returning.
Usually never leave a negative review, but had a rude experience today that was unexpected. Cashier was nice.. person taking orders not so much, no clue why. Because I used to work at a Chipotle I know customers can be over the top sometimes, but never give rude customers service just out of the blue even if you’re overwhelmed or tired of seeing customers all day. Otherwise… I mean work the grill, prep or dish wash. That’s all.
