Ordered catering from Bar Chido recently for a party. Everyone loved the food, surprisingly especially the veggie tacos! Really unique and delicious toppings, build-your-own. One pan of beans or rice was large enough to feed 20+ people in our circumstances. Jonathan and Brianna went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction when we needed services outside of normal business hours, and on a holiday at that. Super appreciative of them and looking forward to our next meal. Thank you!
I came to this place after a night at the movies, watching the top gun premiere at Trivoli theater. It was a late evening, and I went to the host and advised them that I would like to sit outside enjoying the beautiful 70-degree night and order some food. The server brought out some chips and salsa. I ordered a spicy margarita and shrimp tacos, and poblano rice on the side. The server brought out the drink and then the tacos. I still wasn't presented with silverware, and I had to get my own at the bar. During dinner, I ran out of salsa and asked for more, but the server advised that it was past 930, so the kitchen was closed. It was hard to believe that she couldn't replenish the salsa because the kitchen is closed. Regardless, the shrimp tacos were delicious, and the tortillas were handmade. The poblano rice was good but could use some more flair. The spicy margarita was average, and I would visit Bar Chido again if I were in the area again.

Great vibes, excellent food, few but very good vegetarian options with spicy salsa. Try Mushroom Milanese and Veggie Taco Bowl. No need to go to downtown Chicago, just visit downtown Downers Grove!
Well I eat out a lot, but haven't had the opportunity to try this restaurant until last night on the recommendation of my friend. I was so impressed. Friendly, welcoming hosts and waitstaff, absolutely delicious cocktails and dishes with lovely presentations, and a warm and lively vibe in the room that was so comforting yet allowed conversation without having to yell. They have a nice long bar and a beautifully designed space too.Our server, Jen, was the best! You can tell she enjoys what she does and she is proud of this establishment. She was happy to tell us about the restaurant, the food and drinks, the Happy Hour (yes, we got there just in time!), and she always had an eye on our table, but didn't interrupt or overdo it. Perfect! I highly recommend Bar Chido and can't wait until the weather is nicer and they have the front windows open and tables outdoors!
Great tacos! Some of the best I ever had. All the food was great. We will return again to this place.
This place is amazing hands down the best Mexican food around . I ordered the chicken tacos they were phenomenal and rice was amazing too ! My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and they came with a ton food! The drinks were absolutely on point ! The decor was modern and a gave a very chill and relaxed feeling . So glad we came across this place we will be back !!
The food and cocktails were really good. We made reservations and they were able to accommodate our large group of 17. Our server was Carmen and she was fantastic.
I ordered from there tonight through doordash and the food was absolutely so horrible!! The steak wasn't cooked enough, no extra dressing like I suggested and it was just an awful meal. I would like a full refund on my order.
