Buyer beware, company adding “service charge” which looks to be 15 % in gratuity charge. NO SIGNS posted. Rude when you ask about it. Essentially, if you don’t look at your bill to notice or ask about it, you can be potentially tipping upwards of 30-40% since the service charge is their tip. I have NO problem tipping, but when you don’t tell your customers you’re charging a gratuity charge and calling it a service charge, doesn’t sit right with me and many others. So hope it’s worth losing $60+ in sales for a frequent customer. ??♀️
I've been going to this place for over 20 years. The restaurant was in a strip mall, always overcrowded and quite the wait to get a table. Then they built their own restaurant. The wonton soups are outstanding hence the name of the restaurant ? wonton gourmet. The homemade wonton has a very thin wrapper and almost smoky tasting filling. I love the shrimp wonton soup. The other meals are also good but the soups are the signature of the restaurant.
Been here 4 times, and love it each time! This place reminds me so much of the Hawker stalls in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. This place gives me the hometown vibe that I missed so much! The food here is good, service is okay - rushing and quick! Wonton Gourmet is one of my weekly dining spots! Highly recommend it if you're looking for good Cantonese noodle soups, and have other menu offers as well.
My first time eating here was last year and I must admit the food was amazing! I recently ate here twice on Wednesday the 23rd and Thursday the 24th. Each time was worse than before, I’m pescatarian so I got the volcano shrimp. I don’t know why they call it that when it’s not spicy at all, or maybe it was supposed to be but they put so much juice in the container that any spice is washed away! I always get white rice and vegetable rice, both times the rice tasted like it was left in the wok a minute or two too long it had a very smoky/burnt taste to it. Now they did listen to my instructions about no celery or egg in the rice. Other than that I wasn’t pleased with the food!
Super fast, friendly service. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, and the food is delicious! Highly recommend the beef with Chinese broccoli.
Great spot for authentic food. Shrimp wonton and noodle soup is fantastic! All the chicken dishes I've tried so far; General Tso, orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken have great sauces and nice crispy chicken. Egg rolls are best in the area.
Delicious and the Servings we're Plentiful... Service was Excellent... Wish they had an extra Star Rating for the Atmosphere...
We ordered a takeout and everything was cold. I assume food wasn’t fresh. Noodles were so undercooked I had to recover them on the pan. Very disappointing. Never again.
Meat quality has been very suspect. Mushy, slimy chicken. Sinewy beef and pork. The beef portion I had the other day had so much fat and tendons that i had to trim it all down before eating and was left with scraps. So i switched to pork a few weeks later and it was served the same way. I don't know what they're doing with the good meat because they literally serve you the fatty, shoe string trimmings. And they just stopped giving out fortune cookies for some reason...Plenty of other Chinese takeout places in close proximity - no need to bother with this one.
It's our first time to dine with a a couple of my friends at this restaurant. It was recommended so I have to taste it for myself. It was worth it. Food was very good, service is great. Esp. Our server was very accommodating. Our food came on time everythingwe ordered wasexceptional, although our duck was kinda of cold but was tasteful. Overall an A+ Will come back and bring my kids next time
