This was the Best restaurant I've ever been it was my first time going there since I've been to another one right or Mount prospect because those quesadillas were well cooked and delicious even if I dipped in the broth it tastes even more satisfying the tortilla chips are crunchy the salt the beans and rice for well prepared for my succulent deliciousness I would try exploring this place the prices are fair instead of the quality and quantity approach they go with the what you see is what you get type of model the even include a built-in party room so if you're planning on a party for a sweet 16 this is the place where you can go the minor nuisance I dealt with was the lighting the Mexican restaurant used to have good lighting but they simplified to a more studio lighting which could be a nuisance to some but for me it ain't even bother me that much

My reviews are based on the five following points: atmosphere, cleanliness, service, food quality, and prices.

Mexico Restaurant is a family favorite, and we have been going here since the early 90s. The food is exceptional! It has always been the highest quality. Some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in my life. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and spacious. I can't recommend this place enough!!

Clean and really good food. Such a nice staff. Give them a try you won't regret it.

Delicious, Authentic, Great Service, very Affordable. Our group of five loved this place!Well done.Thank you.

Very nice family Mexican restaurant. Has a space for private parties as well. Plenty of parking out back .

Bland and blah. Salsa was crushed tomato straight out of a can; no cilantro, onion, nothing. Steak burrito had something in it more like roast beef and a lot of lettuce. Dry. Everything was n the side was extra. Rice was bland. They couldn’t even turn the lights on over the bar area when customers sat down there. I would not return.

Terrible restaurant, I have never seen anyone try to make a burrito suizo with cheap melted nacho cheese and like a tablespoon of ranchero sauce and it was almost all tortilla. Maybe they ran out of ingredients because it was Sunday, but it was gross and my stomach hurt after the first bite.

Outstanding, just as they were when they first opened their doors in 1981. Start with the best guacamole in the Chicagoland area, then try any dish with their mole sauce. My favorite is enchiladas poblanas en mole with Mexican cheese.

Ugh!! I was super sad, I had high hopes! I'm newer to this part of Des Plaines, and have been searching for my go to Mexiacan spot,, as Mexican food makes this fat girl happy! Unfortunately this spot will not be it. Ordered a steak burrito dinner, I was bummed that I got no salsa, but still going in with an open mind, I cut my burrito in half, and beans oozed out, yum I love beans, however I would prefer a steak burrito with beans not a bean burrito with a steak garnish, it was hard to find any steak in the swomp of beans, the VERY LITTLE amount of steak that I did come across was flavorless, the rice was meh not horrible but not great, and I guess im grateful that beans were good tasting since that made 75% of my meal, I was over all disappointed, and I'm still searching for "the one"
