Have been going to Jimmy's for a treat for years for great food, good prices, nice staff. The only suggestion I have is that they should consider closing their doors for a couple of days & have a cleaning service do a really thorough cleaning of the tables (tops & bottoms & paneling in booth areas) floors, walls, bathrooms & bar area. The paneling in both areas had so many splashes & specks of food on them that it turned the dining experience sour. There is nothing worse than sitting in dining areas that are dirty, sticky, tacky. It is unsanitary, smells & can invite bugs & rodents. The warmer months are coming so best to get ready before these critters find their way in. Bathrooms also caould use some updating & tlc.Please heed suggestions as I dislike feeling uncomfortable when eating there. Thank you.

Good and friendly service. Food was good and hot. I had grilled cheese and fries. My companies had meatloaf, pork tenderloin, and mashed potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal and would have it again. Definitely going back.

My reviews are based on the five following points: atmosphere, cleanliness, service, food quality, and prices.Though somewhat dated, the atmosphere seemed comfortable.One side of the restaurant has a dining area and the other side has a bar.I felt uneasy about cleanliness and sanitation/health guidelines. Waitresses were not wearing masks and neither were some patrons. Mandates have yet to be relaxed.Had dinner on a Thurs. evening. Not too busy at 5 pm. However, our waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Cold. No smile. No personality. I felt like we were inconveniencing her. Though she was prompt with the coffee.We had the charbroiled chicken breast served in a Greek style lemony-oregano sauce with choice of soup or salad, (we chose soup), potato or rice. (Mashed potatoes were great.) No mention of a vegetable on the menu, but we automatically got corn. Overall, the food was hot, and quite delicious. We were not offered any dessert.The bill came to $30.47, which I felt was very reasonable for two generous dinners and coffee.I would like to return to try their breakfast and hope for a friendlier waitress and more health precautions taken. The carpeted floors could use an occasional sweep throughout the day.

Cheapest and BEST breakfast plate in Desplaines… I don’t need fancy 20 pancakes when this place can do it all with eggs and hash browns too for less than 10
Very nice family restaurant! The nenu is full of so many delicious and affordable options! The portions were generous! The servers are kind and attentive! Definitely check this place out
We went there for a family dinner, and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were swift and the food was quite tasty. Portions are very generous as well, I would highly recommend trying out Jimmy's Restaurant :)
