FINALLY my schedule & their business hours aligned! I had my first jibarito & it won’t be my last. Thank you WGN’s Ana Belaval for mentioning how wonderful a Puerto Rican Jibarito can be! I had the Cuban, it was delicious. They pork was tender & juicy & the pickles has a nice crunch. They offer a fabulous variety of Jubarito’s, panini sandwiches, sides & bowls. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly & attentive. Their business has struggled due to Covid19. I strongly urge you to give them a try!
I very rarely leave reviews but absolutely had to this time. I ordered the chipotle chicken jibarito bowl and it was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tried in my life. No exaggeration - absolutely delicious. The chicken is bite sized and juicy, and I ordered a side of the garlic sauce for my tostones (plantains). I had my husband try it and he kept coming back for more bites.
Very excited when I found a Jibarito restaurant 5 mins from my job, I was so excited I Purchased 3 steak Jibaritos for a couple of co- workers, the excitement ended after the first Bite, the should change the name to the High Blood pressure sandwich way too salty never again save your money go somewhere else, your childish response shows you truly deserve this review. Yes because I want to buy something that is way too salty and take it back to wait for food again, actually only happened at your place a better response would have been we apologize for the salty food, and we will make sure this does not happen again, but you instantly assumed I was lacking compassion, Funny thing is that is my hard earned money I spent on food that was way too salty to eat. So if you can afford to throw away $30.00 more power to you, but don't ever assume, you know what the say about assuming. Have a great day I truly hope your food improves is that compassionate enough for you.
The food is incredible. It's a hit or miss for me. Sometimes it's close when it's scheduled to be opened. This time I called first last Tuesday but they are close. My co-workers and I were planning to buy lunch there a few days before. It's a big disappointment. I wish they would announce the change of schedule on the website.
Great food, good service and big portions. I was very happy with my order I got the grilled chicken bowl, and was thrilled I decided to order from here. Definitely recommend!
We drive 45 min just for them. They have the best tasting food. The meat is never dry and it's full of flavor. I have been to many puerto rican restaurants but jibarito time makes the best food. The lechon is the best I have ever had anywhere.
Omg, delicious food and fast, very polite service! It hit the spot perfectly. Grew up in the city so it’s extremely nice to have a gem like this in the NW suburbs whenever that jibarito craving hits. Will be coming back soon!!! I plan on trying the jibarito bowl next but the original actually was very manageable shockingly.
The food is delicious ! But, they have horrible business practices. They don’t have a set schedule. They’re constantly changing their hours without notice. And randomly closing early or for days at a time. I personally drive 30 minutes to enjoy their food. But, many a times they’re just unexpectedly closed. Even though they are scheduled to be open. It’s Wednesday 4pm and they are closed.
If you see the sign on the building saying OPEN then GO! No, not the hours listed. They're never open during those times. They're open randomly. You'll never know when they're open or not... It's kinda like Santa Clause knowing if you're naughty or nice. Great food years ago but I can't tell you about recently because they're never open during their hours which really disappoints me because i use to like going to this place. Had frequent club card, not anymore. Let me know if/when they're open.
The first impression is always a sign of the type of service you will receive. Joe was very professional, extremely patient and helpful in taking my order. the food was ready and on time as promised. My party guest enjoyed every bite of the delicious food.
