What a great place. We had a large gathering of about 30 folks, the staff was excellent. The food is very good. I highly recommend this place
We've been going to beacon for yrs and have been impressed with the improvements. Which is why we felt comfortable bringing my inlaws there for some good bar fair. First we got attitude for asking for a table in the shade. I thanked the women a few times for accommodatind and she straight up ignored me. Our server was lovely, although clearly new but, the outdoor bartender mixed up our bar order and even after giving us the wrong beer, she attempted to tell the server we were wrong. Seems a lesson in craft beer might be useful. Then came a snotty remark from a food runner that the incorrect beer we were served was great. Look, the beer was good and it was no fault of our great server, but the attitude was just not necessary. Food was good except 1 order of wings came out 15mins after everyone else's food. Mixed feelings on whether we'd return.
Awesome outdoor patio good for small or large groups. Indoor/outdoor bar with TVs. Service has been great the past few times. Good food! Absolutely love the cheesy garlic beef.
Really like the tacos here! The burgers are pricey, but pretty good, the side you choose will be a really small serving though. They don’t have the best drink deals for a bar, but they do have a decent selection although your draft beer won’t arrive properly poured you’ll just have an inch missing off the top. Overall it’s pricey for a bar, the service isn’t great a little slow and not very personable, and I’ve been there a few times where they’ve gotten my order wrong, also it could be a bit cleaner. For the premium price you pay I feel like the overall experience is lacking.
We got the beacon tap burger and Mac and cheese burger with tots and fries and the food blew me away. Draft beers were great, but short list. Lots of daily specials. They have a trash can theme for some reason but the only trash is their ranch- it's 75cents a cup and it's trash. But the rest of the experience was 5 stars. Absolutely coming back.
Beacon Tap has really great food and such really good entertainments and fun and the staff are very nice, friendly, and great.
Went to see the Daytona 500. Place was packed. Good drink specials. trash can nachos were really good, as well as the Smoky wings. Reason for the rating, the TV's were out of sync and no sound overhead. But I heard that had a last second issue. Went before and it was great. Definitely will come back.
Went here for the first time since the remodel! Fun vibe! The food was delicious! Wide variety of food and drink. Great music and band. Bartenders (especially Eric) and waitresses were friendly efficient and masked. Can't wait to come back in the summer when we can enjoy the patio. We had shots on a ski which was a lot of fun. Will be back soon.
Bacon Tap is a local Des Plaines treasure with great food and drinks and fun atmosphere. They host a variety of entertainment options in the evenings and food specials too but this is my go-to place because it is always a great time. Daniella was my server and top-notch! Give Beacon Tap a try.
Beacon Tap is our "go to" for our weekly date night. The atmosphere is cozy and the food, drinks and staff are excellent!Just wanted to thank the staff and management for the precautions they have been taking throughout the pandemic and all the upgrades they have made. We look forward to enjoying the new outside area soon.
