Just moved here to des plaines and cannot be more appreciative of any bar, this one by far is my favorite, the ppl, the drinks the food, and the exquisite service.. there is nothing ‘at 7 bar’ doesn’t give to their customers! Michelle is amazing and does her job as if she is two people, idk how, but she makes it happen!
This is just what downtown Des Plaines needed! I’ve been here about 4 times since it’s opened and have not had a disappointing meal. My favorites include the beet and Arugula salad, steak, spicy cheese curds and the fish and chips. You can’t forget to order the churros for dessert. I love that they have a patio so you can bring your dog. They even let me order him a grilled chicken breast which he devoured. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and personable. Management/ownership is always here and checking on their guests to see if they are satisfied. Overall a great place for solo, family or group dining.
New and really good! Food was fine, clean place. I had salmon with tofu and fish tacos. Both was so spicy.
Yes and friendly efficient staff
Sat outside for lunch. Place was empty. I asked for iced tea and was given basically a glass of water. It was very weak so I asked for another glass and was told by the server that this was the batch that was brewed and if I wanted another one, I'd have to wait. Still got charged for iced tea when I drank water with lemon and sweetener. The only reason the liquid in the glass ( in the pic )has any color is because it was in front of an orange flowerpot.I ordered a falafel wrap which was delicious and my friend had the chicken avocado blt which she said was great also.Food was good...service so so.
Very nice place! Larger than you might expect from outside. They have a party room. Had a steak burrito w/ beans & rice. Well seasoned steak. Need to increase the steak-to- beans ratio a bit but good portion size over all.
Very weird vibe…. Like golf club meets overpriced “trying to be trendy” bar, but it just comes off as no actual atmosphere and altogether bizarre.Claims to be family friendly but…. They only have glass, like wine glasses for water and nothing for kids. They procured some paper coffee cups, but that seemed odd. Food and drinks were insanely priced and not that good. We spent $100 for two adults with one drink each, a kids meal and some tater tots (they say loaded, but it’s legit just tater tots with a tiny drizzle of cheese and sour cream). Unimpressed and clearly just a money grab. Servers were nice, but the restaurant was awful. Drinks were also just passable and they have a minimal menu - I get Covid has changed things, but seems they don’t have much on hand.
Fresh food and good variety on the menu. Very friendly and competent staff. Live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
This is a great new restaurant in downtown Des Plaines. Great food, large selection of drinks, friendly and attentive waitstaff and live music!
Lots of potential.Strongly recommend owners double down on the 80s vibe you're starting (whether you meant to or not). Mix more 80s music in. Little more neon, 80s prints etc. Fun and different!Suggest you trim your menu slightly...maybe skip the pizza, it wasn't a standout.House cocktails tasty and inventive, but bartender needs to up-level skills in standard drinks. Martini with one tiny olive? Add stuffed or jumbo olives.Overall definitely worth a visit.
