I had three very disappointing experiences in a row at the DeKalb Chili's location.My husband and I were gifted a Chili's gift card for Christmas and were excited to use it at our local DeKalb Chili's. The first time we arrived at the restaurant it was a Friday evening and the restaurant was moderately busy (about half full). The wait time was well over an hour and the restaurant seemed under staffed - which is very understandable given the pandemic situation. By the time we arrived, we were quite busy so we opted to dine elsewhere.Take two - we decided to give the restaurant a try a again. This time we came on a week night when they were much less busy. I called ahead to see if we could make reservations, but the hosted infomed me that they do not take reservations. We arrived and only 1/4 of the restaurant was full, yet there somehow was an hour wait. We decided to wait this time. After waiting an hour, the hosted told us that the kitchen was backed up and there was going to be another half hour wait. By this time is was getting quite late, so we decided to dine elsewhere.The third time was not the charm either. We came to the restaurant on a week night when the restaurant was not busy at all (only 1/4 full). Once again there was an hour wait, so we waited. And once again after our hour wait we were informed that the kitchen was backed up so it was going to be another half hour wait ?. We asked it we could sit at the bar and order a few drinks in the meantime - seeing that the bar was nearly empty. They would not allow us to do so. So we left again.A week later we drove an extra 30 miles to use our gift card at the Rockford Chili's location. The restaurant was quite busy and still they managed to get us in right away! The service was fantastic and the food was great. We frequent Chili's often and from now on the Rockford location will be getting our business.
This place needs to be shut down by the health department. My family got food poisoning. The worse waitress EVER! It's apparently Mom & Daughter run. She didn't even serve us. I had to go to the kitchen and ask for butter. A guy brought us drinks. She forgot our silverware. Another girl tried giving me another tables mixed drink. The bathroom was nasty! We paid in cash & waited for our change & she's digging in a bookbag trying to get it together while talking to another older lady ,who I assume was the ,Mama, she talked to through her ear piece when we placed our order. We all were sick for 3 days!!! Worst service ever!ILLINOIS Health department please go and check this place out!
So dirty it was hard to pay attention to much else. Our server was friendly, helpful, and accurate but had so many tables, we saw them infrequently. Food was surprisingly good for how gross that tables and floors were. We won't be back.
Great to-go meals. The 3 for $10.99 is great. If you get the chips and salsa to go - you get a whole bag of chips. Join their rewards to get free chips and salsa with any order. My order is always right and they are very affordable.
Great service. Good food. Always busy but the wait is never long so don't let that deter you from stopping in.
First time ever at a Chili's & Kat definitely made our experience awesome!! She was super friendly & explained the food to us & helped us order something we loved!!
The service was good even tho they were understaffed. The food was just fair however and the menu was limited. I probably won't be going back any time soon.
Horrible. Ordered curb side waited 15 mins before going in and checking and it's been ready. Ordered buffalo chicken sandwich no ranch. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich with no buffalo sauce and ranch on both buns. It's such a perfect joke messing up that much that I thought the were joking. I'd say next time I'll check my order before leaving but I'm not coming back.
Had the steak and chicken fajita plate was fair at best, ordered 2nd beer to go along with dinner and never recieved it but was billed for it ..waitress was busy and seldom seen. Will not return to establishment??
I suppose the food is good, but it is quite overpriced in my opinion. Also, the customer service is mediocre. Not bad, not good. For those reasons, I'll knock off two stars.
