I have ate quite a few wings, quite a few places around here, I had just been introduced to TKG a few weeks ago, we order them at work, I work with the owners son, cool dude! I was totally won over by the wings, I've only had 2 flavors, but the ones I've had are CPR and bourbon, they were amazing! Cooked just right too, nice and crunchy without all kinds of slimy skin sliding off. I'll be back for sure! Thanks guys!
To start, my family and I just moved to the area from south Houston Texas, we were on a drive and decided to pick up lunch on our way back home, my wife wanted wings! So at first glance it looks homey. When I walked in I was greeted as if I was back in the south! Super friendly and treated me as family! We ordered wings, fries, fried mushrooms, Mac and cheese, and of course the cheesecake minis they had. They gave my wife and I little testers of the rest of their sides, witch were all amazing, I would recommend the cornbread stuffing and the candied yams, the wings were amazing, crispy and juicy on the inside. Got 3 flavors based off their recommendation and could not be happier with all of them, mainly the Cajun Parmesan garlic. The desert was awesome! Reminded us of a warm toaster strudels but better and in a egg roll shape and wrapper. I have eaten at quite a few places in my time and very few leave an impact on me like this place did, I think they have gotten another customer for life and would highly recommend anyone to them to anyone wanting an amazing down south soul food with the matching hospitality!
This was the first time that I've been here after a recommendation from my school instructor, Miss Sherra. The atmosphere of the place is extremely friendly. They have a special greeting for first time visitors which makes you feel welcome. I ordered the TKG's Daily Special and got 5 Cajun Garlic Parmesan wings, 3 sides (picked 2 servings of greens and one cornbread stuffing), a dinner roll, and I up-sized to an extra large drink. My daughter ordered their loaded baked potato without broccoli, which is one of the things that come on it. It also has sour cream, cheese, bacon, and butter. The potatoes are large as well. My daughter also got an extra large drink. The food is made to order so the food is always hot and fresh. The seasonings on the wings and in the greens was perfect for me. The garlic was not excessive so it didn't bother my stomach and the mixture with parmesan was blended so well that neither seasoning overpowered the other. The greens are seasoned and have bacon. It had a delicious flavor and seasonings were well balanced. They welcome you like family and it's a wonderful place to go to. Indoor seating is limited but they have outdoor seating under an awning for those who want to sit and eat in good weather. You can get dine in or carry out, and they are on GrubHub and Doordash. I highly recommend this place. You should check it out. You'll be glad you did and I know I'll be back.
Delicious. I went with their recommendations: CPR wings sauces (permesean ranch), collard greens, corn bread salad, and mashed taters w gravy. Heavy seasnins, which made the wings yummy and gooey. The greens were very nice, and I loved the corn bread salad. Never had anything like it. My recommendation: go in and let them order for you. It'll be good
Best wings in Decatur! They’re cooked to perfection and the sauces are bomb. Tried their soul food line for the first time today and it was so good. I’ll definitely be going back for more. Their customer service is great. They’re really nice and professional. Oh, and make sure y’all try the kool aid!
Amazing food, sweetest family ever. Best wings in town!!!!!! They have all kinds of flavors, but my favorite is the Cajun Parmesan ranch
The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was extremely clean and well kept. It’s one of those local gems that I love to find. I highly recommend eating here!!!
I can't deny the friendliness of the staff, timeliness of service, or cleanliness of the restaurant. However, the wings were not particularly to my liking (preference thing, not because they were bad).Still 5 stars though, since they should not be punished for a preference.
