I was in Decatur visiting my son and he took us to the Crowbar because he said it has "The Best Bar Food in Decatur". He wasn't wrong. The food was reasonably priced and was delicious. Best shoe I've had in Decatur. The burger was handmade and fresh. The staff was extremely courteous. If your looking for good food and drink you can't go wrong. A must go if your in Decatur.
Done going to crowbar. Been to wing Wednesday many times. Almost all of the waitresses are not friendly. All of the dry rubs have no flavor except the lemon pepper. The last waitress I had sent out the wrong flavor of wings and did not write down the order. Some items on the menu are not available. Lastly sometimes the wings will taste different (for example sweet chili lime had some heat, but sometimes no heat). I went to LSB and got the best service of my life and the wings were consistent. LSB 5 stars. Crowbar 2 stars. Crowbar needs more consistency with their food and friendlier wait staff.
Food was good. Sat outside because it was too loud inside with a live musician. He could have turned it down a few notches. Nice outside except for sun was hot but we were able to move extra tables/umbrellas to block the sun. They did have a lot more seating then I expected. Really didn't like that the smoker's used the covered area right outside the door.Oh, and I hope they fixed the women's bathroom door. It was falling off the hinges. I didn't think I could get it shut until I looked to see what the problem was.
Went to have wings on Wednesday what great service! Timely on our wings and one of my favorite places for bloody Mary’s! I’m a big fan of most of the menu! The wait staff and bartenders are some of the friendliest!
I’ve ordered take out a couple times and sadly both experiences were not good. The first time was shortly after they opened and my chicken sandwich was burnt. I didn’t think much of it and understand mistakes happen. Today I ordered a chicken bacon ranch with ranch on the side and sweet potato fries. The ranch was not on the side and the sweet potato fries were black! Clearly take out is not their strong suit. Disappointed.
I had the giant pork tenderloin with homemade coleslaw. Both were incredibly delicious. Hubby had pulled pork toasty with queso cheese and fries. He said they were fresh and excellent. The atmosphere was friendly and service spot on. We will definitely return in the future.
food was good, service crappy. Heard from several people the way the owners or leasers Rachel and Bill open this place up by stealing the money from a 80+ year old man. found this out after going there will never set my feet into this place again.
This place is great! From the smiling waitress to the crinkle cut fries, everything was spot on! And the burger I had was tender and juicy. We will definitely be back.
Great food, decent prices for what you get, good service. Also a fun place for night life if you like bands or karaoke.
I wasn't a fan. My husband loved it. Also, not my type crowd. We had attentive and good service. It seems to be a mix of sometimes a bar and also a family-friendly place that had kids menus.
