I had a great patty melt and wonderful service.
First off, warm and friendly staff. We were greeted right away, and they were always nearby if we needed anything. The food was great, and we added the cinnamon twists (highly recommend it). The cherry on top was that they have a full changing table in the bathroom for little ones. It's always frustrating when restaurants don't have them and this was an awesome surprise. On top of all that, it's a chill downtown spot which is fun.
Have tried to go here twice. Both times sat down, greeted, given water and menus but then no one ever came back to take order. Sat there 15-20 min both times. Watched other tables get waited on and served. Waitress stood at bar folding napkins. Thought it was a fluke first time so went back. Both times spent 20 min having only had water. So left a tip and walked out Won't be going back.
The wife and l both had horseshoes soooooogood the coffee had a full flavor no bitter after.the staff all so welcomeing.
There's a reason this little place is always full! I got the egg and bacon breakfast sandwich on an english muffin, split and order of french toast, and my boyfriend got the breakfast wrap. Service was definitely overwhelmed, so give them some grace! Food is worth a little extra patience.
Breakfast horseshoe was AWESOME!! Coffee was great as well. A very good value.
I had a omelet and is wasn't that great but I will say thr hashbrown were nice and crispy
The Downtown Cafe has a wide variety of menu options, delicious food to choose from! The servers and all of the staff greet you warmly, and welcome you.
This was an unfortunate lunch experience as it was the only thing open in the area, which is why we went. The restaurant inside is just in terrible condition. It looks like it was built out 40 years ago and no improvements have been made since. The floor is stained, the lights do not match and everything inside it’s of very poor quality including the tables and chairs. The food was very average and the service was nice, but I’m giving it a poor rating as it’s just an unfortunate low end diner in desperate need of a complete remodel, Including all of the furnishings.
Ate there for lunch during the week the service is great. Don't go on a Sunday waited half an hour left.
