Our server James was incredible. Seriously, no BS, this man rendered surely the BEST service I've had all year. And it's definitely in the top 3 for all time. We were a 6top and our drinks/beer was always full. He took our order with no notepad, and everything came out absolutely perfect. And we had complicated orders! Super fun and friendly. Consistently checked in with us to make sure everything was good to go!The food was good, definitely. But James exceptional service will be the #1 reason I come back.
Had a delightful lunch at Coney McKane’s today. I had the chili mac, which was great. It came with a fresh baked breadstick that was perfect. It also came with a salad. I had the warm bacon dressing. It was so tasty - I especially appreciated the home made croutons. I usually hate the dense, hard hunks of toasted bread that is normally thrown on salads to pass as a crouton. These were crunchy, yet not hard to chew and very flavorful. My husband had bean soup/corn bread which was as tasty as homemade. He also had peach cobbler for dessert. He was blown away by the flavor. We felt our lunch was a great price and top quality food. Everything in the right proportions. We have never been here before but will definitely be returning soon.
Party of 6 went for dinner at about 6:45 on 3/26/22 while staying in town for a couple days for a funeral. Staff was friendly, polite and there was only a short wait for a table. Once seated the waiter took & got our drink orders promptly. Meals also arrived quickly and everyone really liked their meals (3 Cheeseburgers with waffle fries, Spinach salad & potato soup, ham horseshoe, meatloaf dinner). Prices were reasonable and we would definitely return if in the area again.
This is a great stop but only if you like authentic Midwest comfort food! I had excellent service from Madison and I greatly enjoyed the Chicken & Noodles special. This is not your average place and I look forward to returning.
Appetizer’s were amazing. However the beef and noodles were a bit bland. Service was excellent
Wonderful food, great pie,and cute cookies. We took our sister out for a birthday lunch. Waiter was superb- fast and efficient and fun. I ordered the soup and salad combo so I would have room for the dessert. Fresh chicken salad, cheesey french onion soup topped with homemade cherry pie. Yummy!
I liked it. I had half a sandwich and a soup with chips. I also had dessert, but it was too much for one person; I would only get it if I was sharing. I want to try it again. Wasn't a fan of their chips (a little too salty).I would love to try their salads. Also, the beer I was served wasn't very cold in the bottle. Nice place, seems very busy.
We eat here about once a week and always have a great meal. The desserts and pies made by Flo are terrific! They have the best raspberry walnut dressing that is homemade. Huge menu, something for everyone so you can’t go wrong with this place
The service was greatOur waiter was fantastic, he came back several times. Food was great as always. My tenderloin was cooked just right and it and river potatoes were superb. !!The only complaint I had was the tomato slice could have been bigger. My friend said " potato soup was cold.
Very Good, Excellent Meat Loaf Special, Filet Pies are Delicious - have had the Apple, Coconut, Carmel Apple, Pecan Good Service!
