Jordan has always been our server and she rocks! The spinach artichoke dip is amazing and when you sit outside it feels like you are at the Gulf! It’s so nice and everyone is great! The food is beyond amazing!
On our recent visit the food was very good and the service was great. We are a bit disappointed that bread is no longer available and neither are baked potatoes apparently. However the salmon and sirloin steak were delicious and we will return.
Great food and atmosphere!
Very good food and awesome service ! Thanks Angie for a great first experience.
My family went for supper on a busy night so the wait time was long for food (which was not the main issue). It took 1.5 hours before all but one person out of our party was served. He sat through all of us eating with ever receiving his food. The waitress was wonderful and kept apologizing over and over. Everyone was finished eating and had requested their bills before his meal came out. At this point with a 18 month old along for dinner it was time for us to go. He decided his 40 dollar meal “to-go” was something he did not want to take with him because he couldn’t justify paying all that money to eat it cold at home. As we waited even longer for the manager to come out, everyone left and he left his one meal on the table. Everyone else paid for their food which was a lot of money! As we are walking to our cars, the manager comes out and confronts our one person and asks if he wanted his to go. He said no and she asked if he was going to pay for it. He also said no. Instead of apologizing for his wait or offering really anything- she said she has our license plates and will call the cops.Unbelievable experience. We were somehow at fault for their failed service. We will not be returning.
We had our son's graduation party there. The place was decorated beautifully and the food was delicious. This is also a great place to sit and enjoy a relaxing meal outdoors!!
We like going here, nice atmosphere, food is usually good, service is good and they try to be an upscale but still casual place. Tonight was a little too casual IMO. All he waitresses had yoga pants on. And o ur waitress had short yoga pants so she could show off the large tatoo on her thigh. Maybe I'm old fashoned, but I do not was to see ASS CRACK while I am having dinner! Not appropriate for even a casual diner. Yoga pants belong at the gym, not at a place where dinner for 2 is typically $80 to $100. And my salmon was over cooked.
We had my daughters birthday dinner at the Beach House tonight everything was Amazing Elizabeth was an awesome waitress she was very attentive and eager to make sure we was satisfied with our meal and experience. Jamie was also Awesome she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect..A special Thank you !! The food was amazing compliments to the chefs !
Decided to try the Beach House again tonight. The service attentiveness and chef's cooking abilities are still very inconsistent. On the last trip, I ordered lobster bisque, which was overly sweet, and a medium rare steak, which came out well done.On this trip, I was excited to see that the mini filet two ways were back on the menu. PLEASE stay away from this! If you were a fan of this previously, it is nothing like what you will remember. The filet are flat, lacking seasoning, and have a minuscule dab of bleu cheese and "horseradish" crust. I say "horseradish" lightly, because this tasted nothing of horseradish, but more so like the charred bit of a marshmallow roasted too long on a campfire. The steak was bland and was not finished with a coarse salt. The only saving grace was the very fragrant and delightful blue cheese. The vegetables were just that; just vegetables. There was no seasoning, other than water, and a few specs of pepper, which was just ordinary pepper, not cracked pepper. The mashed potatoes were the star of this plate. This was mentioned to the manager, who went to let the grill staff know so other customers would not suffer the same unfortunate fate. When it was time for desert, bananas foster was ordered. This was the only truly shining element of the entire course (all four ingredients!). This was prepared table side and the conversation was awkward at best. We were asked if we came here often, and there was mention of the comments about the lack of seasoning. We were then asked if we ever had bananas foster and said no. The chef replied "well at least you have nothing to compare this to then." Normally this would have been taken lightly, but that was not the case in this situation. Likely due to the awkward conversation with undertone of malice.Tip included, my check was nearly $200 and I expect much more when a restaurant in Decatur is charging "semi-fine-dining" prices, but serving lackluster dishes that could be prepared better at Diamonds Family Restaurant. I am not impressed.
Elizabeth was a great server and she new everything about how the food was cooked. Very pleasant and always had a smile on her face.
