In my opinion, Georgio's has the best Italian food in Crystal Lake. My server was very prompt and extremely polite. Multiple monstrous televisions so I could catch up on sports scores and highlights. The bowtie broccoli pasta dish served with garlic bread that I had was delicious. I've also had both of their thin crust and deep dish pizzas and they're excellent as well. I will definitely be coming back for more at Georgio's.
To be honest with you… I expected more from this franchise…The reason I am giving 3 stars for this is because the staff was fantastic. We had an event and somehow management messed up the dates and they thought it was the next day. However the recovery and how they handled the situation was pleasant and professional and the service at all times was super friendly and kind.Then is the food… and to be honest, this is more the name than anything else. I was going to expect some pizza that would change the way I see pizzas but no. There’s a review on my profile from Bill’s Pizzas and theirs are far ahead of the ones here. So a bit of a disappointment and may be and hopefully they will get back in the kitchen and innovate and improve a bit the quality of their raw materials and processes. We tried the pistachio beer by the way just to see if there were any pistacho flavors inside… we didn’t find anything ? but beer was good.
I am completely agree with Tom, another reviewer. He was complaining that there was not enough cheese, sauce etc.I have been eating Georgio's since they came to Crystal lake. We used to eat it once a week. I moved away, but we got it last night, and it is just not the same deep dish pizza. It used to beat Lou Malnati's easily.I realize with covid, inflation and the price increases are making them fearful of charging $34 for a large deep dish, but I would rather pay $34 than $29 for a pizza that rocks.I hope they see this review and go back to the way it was. Once they do, I will update my review.
Overall great pizza! We ordered their thin-crust pizza for carry out. Always a go-to favorite when in Crystal Lake! The crust was a little crispy - but I think that was just a one off experience because we’ve eaten there many times! I have some places I like better downtown Chicago but Georgia’s always provides a good product and a nice atmosphere!

Great place. Thin crust pizza is good. Service is good. Deep dish is ok, but only got one slice eaten, had beer nuggets first, large amount and good. Plenty of room to get seated quickly on busy nights. You can't go wrong coming here.
Has Georgio's changed their recipe for Deep Dish pizza?Last night I bought a large Deep Dish and was very disappointed. Almost no cheese, crust was thin, more like they put a thin crust pizza in a Deep Dish pan. Going there for over 15 years, What's up?
I'm not sure how Georgio's is able to make a place so busy seem cozy, but they do. The restaurant is almost always packed with happy people. It's one of our regular go-tos for great thin-crust pizza. Parking can be challenging sometimes.
