I've driven past this restaurant for years. Thought we'd give it a try for lunch. Wife had a Chicken and Avocado sandwich. She liked it but the bottom slice of Rye bread was soggy from the sautéed mushrooms. I had the 1/2 lb., Texas Burger with Cheddar, Bacon and Onion Rings. Both items were big enough for two meals, so we ate 1/2 and took home the rest. My Burger came with soup, I had the French Onion, it was quite tasty. I ordered Cherry Pie, also quite good, the crust was like homemade, wished they wouldn't automatically heat fruit pies, I like it better cold, but forget to tell them that.
The staff is friendly and the service is very responsive. The menu has been updated so it isn't the multi page menu with every option it used to be. It's a lot easier to choose what to eat now.This is a very busy restaurant at peak dining times so take that into consideration.

A Crystal Lake staple serving terrific food. Their pancakes with cherries and whipped topping is a favorite. And you can't forget their fantastic variety of sweets in their bakery. There are so many delicious items on their menu to chose from. Go and support this wonderful establishment. d
Short to no wait time, great food options, and low carbs skillets available. I would highly recommend.
Okay so the food is decent, but not ready for a culinary magazine. The thing that keeps you coming back to this place is that it is the spot to be to meet your friends, coworkers, neighbors for breakfast or lunch. The joint is jumping and it's fun to be where the action is! Maybe not a hip young vibe but all ages are represented here.

Stopped by for breakfast. An at homelike atmosphere. My server was attentive and nice. My food was cooked well. Within budget. All around enjoyed coming to eat here.
I always leave there satisfied. Their food is top notch and service is great. My last visit I had Chicken Parma served over spaghetti. I enjoyed every mouthful. I highly recommend this place.
