Food: Phenomenal! This is authentic Mexican food, like my grandma’s!!! Especially the chilaquiles verdes.Coffee: out of this world! Traditional Mexican cafe de olla (it’s perfectly sweetened, likely with piloncillo, so taste before adding sugar or cream)So the reason for the 4 stars...It is a very tiny place, which I don’t mind, but the TV and/or radio are so loud I feel like I’m at a club! No fun!I couldn’t even hear my sister-in-law who was sitting right in front of me!Also, you will come out smelling of food and oil!6-8-22. It’s been 3 years since I first reviewed this hidden gem! It’s still one of my favorite restaurants when I’m craving food like y grandma made!If you were lucky enough to visit pre-covid, you probably miss the chips and salsas as much as I do!Sadly, there is no plan to bring back those delicious salsas. Also, As of July 2022, the restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays. Here are some pre-covid & post covid pictures! One last note: the bathroom is teeny tiny- clean but tiny & off the kitchen so it can be a tad bit awkward. You won’t regret checking it out! Super affordable too!

Prices are so cheap for the HUGE breakfast platter you get served. This is hands down our favorite place for chilaquiles. My wife loves the "cafe de olla", which of course has that hint of cinnamon. Everyone we've recommended this place to has loved it. But be warned that the place only has seating for about 18 people or less. Their largest tables sit 4 people. So this place can get a huge line during lunch time. But the food is delicious and they serve very quickly. So the wait times are usually not too bad. Recommend parties of 4 people or less.

I had their mole chilaquiles and let me say they were crunchy and tasty. Their cafe de holla with cinnamon was also the bomb, and their hot chocolate was very good. Will definitely go back. Be prepared to wait for a seat, we got there and there's only 2 tables for 4 and 3 tables for 2 or 3 people. By the time we left there's was 3 parties waiting to sit down. 5 stars on my behalf.

Love their food! Place is small but definitely worth the wait ??

Best chilaquiles the cesina ( steak) so tender the cafe de olla the best .truly recommend this place

this place was so good i really love the meat and the rice it’s so good whit the hot chocolate recommend this restaurant super good and my grandma and grandpa comes here almost every day!!☺️

I walked with my companion and no one greeted us in the morning. After seeing us stand there we observed one open table that we walked up too and sat there for 10 minutes and with the waiter watching us... never said hello ,one second absolutely nothing as if we weren't there lol... we walked out and not a word from anyone... considering they only have about 7 tables it's sad do not recommend whatsoever service is very awful

Extremely delicious and authentic Mexican food. Definitely a hidden gem in the streets of cicero IL. You should try their good. Prices are fair and quantity will suffice.

Food is good , owners HAS A A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. I asked if he can please repeat my order since I always make sure everything is correct & his response was “ ugh I’m busy to be dealing with this “

A hidden gem in Cicero IL. Wow!! The best. Chilaquiles with Chile morita, sunny side eggs, a some Carne asada (Arrachera). Coffee to perfection! A very small restaurant. Maybe 6 tables. Get there around 9am on Sundays, no line!
