Very authentic menu and flavor. Will stop every time I’m in Chicago! ??
The experience was terrible. The tables were sticky and dirty the cups were dirty and not only that but they brought us our food about an hour of waiting and then rushed us to stop eating and to get out of the restaurant. They were even turning off the lights while we were still seated and being loud and laughing and just having a blast. Mind you we got here at 9:30 and they don’t close until 11. We only then received our food when it was about 10:20 and not even 10 minutes of eating they brought bags, take out containers, and our check. Even before we left and went back on the street their seen running out of the building playing, almost 20 minutes before they were supposed to close. This is extremely immature behavior from the staff and that raises questions as to what they were doing even while making our food. There was no hostility or anything of the sort. We never felt welcome in here for even when we stepped foot inside, and rest assured we will never come back.
I am Nigerian and Yassa has the best jollof I ever tasted! We had the jollof and Yassa Fish and it was great and very filling. The spices are a perfect blend and not spicy or unsavory, just perfect!I wish we had the chance to try other items on the menu such as the lamb or chicken.
Food really good and great customer service. prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and good flavors you get.
Staff was super helpful, food was amazing! I ordered on the phone for carryout and the staff human was incredibly helpful and explained what everything was. Timing was just what they estimated and good was so rich and delicious. Sauce Graine and salmon fataya (fried salmon hand pie/ pasty) were my favorites. My advice, get several fataya as one was not enough!
I was taken aback by how long it took to be acknowledged and given our menus , water and orders taken. Our food eventually arrived and my friend's plate was cold. My order was a good first timer and I really enjoyed the Honeydew/Pineapple drink. It was fresh and tasty.
Over taxed with the price. And so many hidden fees
Fantastic food, and really good lunch deal. The drinks were refreshing, and the server was excited to explain the history behind each. Decoration is classic inside and you will leave with a full and happy stomach. They were bustling with takeout orders, too.
Had the yassa chicken and WOW. Had never had Senegalese food before and now know for sure it won’t be my last. 10/10***bring cash if you can! They charge a fee if you don’t. Also add automatic 18% gratuity on dine in. (A-okay by me)
