Our experience at Winter's Jazz Club was such a treat! We booked online last minute, and they were able to accommodate us on a Sunday night. We saw a Bruce Henry Quartet concert that followed the evolution of African American music from Congo Square to Harlem. It was illuminating, exciting, and filled with energy! Winter's is a marvelous intimate setting, the quintessential jazz club.

This is an intimate and cozy Jazz Club. Lots of places that have jazz are venues. This is a place where the regulars feel like they know one another and have a common bond with the musicians, many of whom are regulars. The servers are on point and while there is a minimum bar charge - pretty standard for a jazz club - you get a nice drink for your $$. The acoustics are great and you can follow the musicians eyes and their eyes can follow your reactions. It's a gem and the price is right too. How can you not love this place?

I’m so in love with my experience at Winter. The atmosphere, music, drinks were top-tier. I ordered the beer and Moscow mule, both non-alcoholic. That beer was delicious, and I recognize how weird it is that I love the taste of beer. The music was phenomenal. Jeremy Kahn Quartet with special guest vocalist Julia Danielle did an awesome job! My favorites were “Summertime”, “Mean to Me” and a few others that I didn’t catch the name of. This jazz experience was one of my favorite Chicago tourist experiences. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.

One of the Jazz bars in Chicago. We had a good time and the crew on deck was partially engaged. We had a singer (first time after Covid shut down for her)…I was expecting a more engaged band (on a Friday night) and they were very good on the technique and way too stiff. We didn’t need a reservation (you can’t make one).

I have been to this venue three times to see a particular artist but every time me and my guests were treated very poorly. To begin with I booked thickets for a party of 4 and paid for VIP thickets but upon entering the venue even though 4 seats were available together they asked us to seat seperately mentioning that those 4 seats were for single guests. Well three remained empty until at least after the start of the show. When it came down to ordering drinks one of my guests was not drinking alcoholic beverage so I asked to order two drinks for myself instead of her to comply with their policy of purchasing one drink per guest but they refused to have me order two drinks and the other guest not ordering one. It made absolutely no sense. They are inflexible and nonresponsive and very rude to their guests. When I asked to talk to their manager the person seating us said she was the manager. We had a terrible experience and decided even to see our favourite artists it's not worth going to "Winter's Jazz Club".

Nice and cozy venue and great Jazz shows! It’s usually two shows, 7:30pm and 2nd show is at 9:30pm. Full bar and great service. They don’t serve food but you can grab some bar food next door at Pinstripes.

I live in the area, so used to go to this jazz club over weekends. Good music, decent sound. Unfortunately, from time to time I felt that I was cheated a little. It is an extra fee for a drink of very poor quality, or 6 dollars charge for “Neat pour” of Bacardi into whiskey glass (see picture attached), or seat where you can see nothing from. All those "little things" are making an impression that someone is trying to steal change from your pocket while you are watching great performance. I wish class of service here matching quality of musicians performing on stage.

Beautiful cozy space. Small enough to feel intimate but not crowded. The cocktails were delicious and the service was friendly. The quality of the music was SUPERB, probably the best jazz show I have ever seen. I would highly recommend a visit

Not happy with this experience. I love jazz, and visited few jazz places in Chicago. However, in this one we were asked to stay completely quiet. My sister and I couldn't even express if we like the music or not. I feel like this is little bit too much to expect from customes. Our server whispered to us when he took orders. Not coming back and don't recommend. If you are trying to relax andhave good time go to Andy's jazz club.

We enjoyed John Dokes trio in this intimate, lovely place. COVID vaccines required (proof at entry, love it). Great for a date night or just to enjoy some great jazz! VIP gets you center stage tables, servers for all tables. Cannot wait to go again!FYI - it’s downstairs, so if you’re entering from Illinois Ave, go down the steps, through the doors, and follow the signs. If you see Roberta’s pizza (take out), hang a left. Bathrooms are outside of the venue
