Good food, friendly service.
This place takes the top spot for my favorite omelette in Chicago. Everything about my meal was great. The service was pretty slow when I went, but they warned us ahead of time and I don’t fault them for being short-staffed.Haven’t tried one of their cocktails yet but I definitely will the next time I stop by.
Phenomenal food at an excellent price with good portions. I’ve lived in west town for 5 years and this is my go to when friends or family visit. My family now demands we come here when they visit. Of note, their scrambled eggs are fluffier and more flavorful than anywhere. I recommend their breakfast sandwich on croissant. My partner prefers their Spartan omelette. You can’t go wrong though. Their sweet dishes are delectable and the savory dishes will leave you feeling happy and satisfied. It’s a busy joint on the weekend because locals know about it, but it’s worth the wait. Staff is super friendly to top it all off. Enjoy.
This is a great spot for quality food at a reasonable price. Super nice staff. I always come for breakfast. I recommend the breakfast burrito or the chicken and waffles.
Simple the best breakfast/lunch spot in the city. Amazing meals and wonderful service! Parking can be an issue, but Blue Line right out the front door.
I ordered the breakfast burrito (choice of meats: ham or chorizo) which was nothing special. It tasted a little too cheesy. But now that I'm thinking about it, I'm sure any other choice from their menu would've made my breakfast experience better. They have a ton of different options, which I wish I would have tried instead. Like the eggs benny, waffles, biscuits and gravy, or the French toast.
friendly service. food was solid overall, big portions. they got the important stuff right but the toast and grits etc could’ve been better
I am very lucky to live close to this amazing breakfast spot!It is my go-to for breakfast takeaway on a lazy weekend morning. The Eggs Benedict never misses, and the house potatoes (extra crispy) are to die for!The only slight beef I have with this place is that some of the staff can be a bit unpleasant from time to time, but I chalk it up to the Windy City Cafe being an old-school Chicago establishment and do not take it personally.Would definitely recommend!
I had my first experience with them today, it was horrible. The cashier was very rude bc the food was overpriced, and I didn’t want to pay for it. So I asked for a different order, and she yelled at me saying she’s not going to make another order. So I told her it’s either another order or I can go somewhere else, it’s not a big deal because it’s my money I’m spending. She decided to give me a cheaper price. But even with that price the food was plain, tasteless, and the bread was soggy. There was no seasoning on the food, and I won’t be back to that worthless place. Disgusting
I really like the atmosphere, the waiters were really nice. The food was average but tasty.
