Arrive early (before 7) to avoid a wait on weekends or holidays. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting. Food options are plentiful, with many gluten free and veggie friendly options. They have a cauliflower hash that is very tasty. Real maple syrup can be requested for about $3 at the time of this review (the bottle it comes in is very cute). The staff are always friendly and considerate.
I wanted to get breakfast and this is the first thing popped up on google when i search best breakfast place in downtown Chicago. The place was packed but fortunately i only wait less than 1 mins to be seated (maybe because I was alone). They serve all kind of breakfast but I was feeling sweet this morning and decided to order banana & coconut cream pie. The portion was super generous (you get around 5 slices of pancake), but I just wish they put on more cream, I could barely taste the cream. If I could I would try every menu they have because everything looks interesting for me.
This place lived up to the hype! Came here for a weekday breakfast based on multiple recommendations from friends. Was seated right away. After we ordered, we probably had to wait only about 5 minutes before our meal was served. All the staff operated like a well-oiled machine! I ordered the Berry Bliss French Toast. The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were huge! That was my only complaint - I wish the menu had smaller-portioned options, so I didn’t have to be wasteful when I couldn’t eat half my meal. But the food was wonderful nonetheless and worth the visit.
Breakfast is my favorite meal and they delivered. I had corn bread Benedict, out of this would- ask for sauce on side as it is little spicy. I upgraded my side to speciality pancakes Berry Bliss , sooo delicious. That include 2 pancakes, so it is a big portion. I wasn't able to eat it all, but it was worth it anyway!!!
Whenever I go to Chicago, Wildberry is always a stop. Their signature pancakes are delicious and fluffy, and I've everything I've ordered has been good. Usually there is a long wait on weekends, but most recently, I went on a rainy Tuesday morning and my party was seated right away. Service is quick and friendly.
You may have to wait a bit to be seated depending on when you visit, but it's worth it! If you're a fan of breakfast foods, this is the place to stop in Chicago.
Average to good breakfast food. This type of breakfast, pretty standard american breakfast, is not really my style. I only came here because of the high marks on TA. The wait time wasnt too bad considering the place's popularity. They are excellent at turning over tables, so it makes for a great in and out, especially if you have plans in the area. Server didnt really acknowledge my partner, which cost them a star in this review. It is the type of indifference we saw quite often in Chicago. Maybe we've been spoiled with the stereotypical politeness back home. While the food was hot and fast, it was also sugary and high glycemic index which takes another star away from this review.
Gluten free options on pancakes and waffles! We had a 1hour wait on Memorial Day but we’re able to go and come back. Good to see real gf choices but the pancakes and breakfast (gf and non gf) were below par. Staff were very friendly and made it a good experience
At the suggestion of my gf-girlfriend, we waited over an hour (60 names ahead), I was so tempted to leave but she texted and wrote, “It’s soo worth the wait!” and indeed, Wild Berry exceeded our expectations—the food was delish! ?
Although it was busy, we got a table within a few minutes on a Monday around 11. Service was cheerful and amazingly fast. The portions were huge and delicious. We took our teens who liked the fried chicken and a biscuit, hash browns and pancakes. The s’mores French Toast was practically a dessert! I liked that you can order breakfast or lunch dishes. It’s a bustling, noisy place but a fab way to start the day. We would go back anytime!
