The food and drinks are fabulous. I had a planned vacation so I put my leftovers in the freezer. When I returned I thawed them out and warmed my items in the toaster oven. They were just as delicious as when I first ordered them. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating I've been a few times and will go back again at this point.
Been here twice and have always had a great time. Service is usually on point, the complimentary bread is straight ?. Tried the fried calamari, burrata and Grigliato Misto. All were really good but if I had to pick, the Misto really stood out. Nanna’s pasta had a great kick paired with a nice meaty sauce. Meatballs are great too. Also noteworthy, the tiramisu and espresso martinis. All in all, very well budgeted Italian that delivers on quality and quantity. Will be back!
When my family went to eat at Victory Tap, we were immediately greeted by a kind waitress. She was great, she checked on us constantly, and made sure we were happy with the food. The Chicago Style Pizza was early a 10/10 pizza, best I've ever had. The parmesan was fresh too. There garlic bread and rice balls are absolutely delicious as well, and nothing was to greasy. Very good, would suggest to other people.
The food was really good! The calamari appetizer had a light breading so it was not heavy or greasy. The clam linguini was delicious with about a dozen fresh clams. All others had the table enjoyed their dishes, especially their desserts of tiramisu and gelato. One warning, it was very noisy.
This looked like a great restaurant and had been really looking forward to trying it. Booked online and staff were welcoming on arrival. Had the meatballs for starters and they were delicious but huge - nearly the size of a tennis ball! Sauce was epic. Had Aunt Angie's shells for entree. Firstly the dish arrived before I had finished the appetiser. I hate that as I like to savour and enjoy a meal, not feel rushed. Then someone was very heavy handed with the salt. It totally over powered the dish, so much so I couldn't taste the other flavours and couldn't eat much of it. Still taste salt next day! Was disappointed to see table beside me got limoncello on house and none for me. I get they were a table of 6 but not good when we witness that all patrons don't get same level of service
Late night fun run at old McCormick place found us looking for eats in the South Loop. Victory Tap was our saving grace. Open, friendly and accommodating for a walk in party of seven. The place feels like an authentic Italian bistro. A warm inviting bar and smiling staff. They really like to impress from drinks to your meals. Can't rave enough about our server, Ceasar and his support that kept us well fed and at home. We split a bunch of appetizers amongst us and Ceasar was on point to recommend the sausage & peppers, fried calamari over grilled and the tomato stack. Portions are large enough to share or could possibly be a meal in itself. After a few rounds our entrees of Elmwood Park Pizza, pasta with gravy and salads arrived. Did I mention the portions are enough to share? Outstanding heat from the giardinera made each bite of the pizza worth while. Ceasar did mention to get a Tiramisu however we were already full and even took some pasta and pizza home. Victory Tap gets our thumbs up for family friendly dining and great service and price.
Cozy atmosphere & amazing food. They serve generous portions, everything tastes amazing, and all of the staff is so nice. Years ago we had our engagement dinner here with our families to celebrate. Now, we come for date nights, happy hours, or order take out for a good meal at home. Definitely recommend.
Loved this place on south michigan.Very neighbourhood-y feel, delicious homemade type feeling. We got pasta shells filled with cheese, best ravioli around.Wide selection of dishes and wine.Must try!
Great, old school Italian Restaurant. Service was really good and food was great! Reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. They have a nice sized wine and beer list and some nice cocktail options. We had a raspberry cheesecake for desert, and it was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten!
To say it plainly, it's damn good. The service was great, and everything from my appetizer to my dessert was spectacular. If you are in Chicago and looking for delicious Italian cuisine, this is the place to be.
