Really cute and unique ice cream shop. I love going here with my toddler. They do a really good job with the animals and the flavors are tasty. I was surprised at how fast they're able to put the animal decor/toppings all together
Not only is this dessert place so adorable, but the pastries are so delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. My husband and I went inside their Lincoln Park location while waiting for our table to be ready at the restaurant across the street. I got macaroons and he got a layered chocolate dessert (Royal) I think it was called. It had a macaroon on top and gold sprinkles. It was so delicious and the macs were fresh and tasty too. He enjoyed his dessert so much we went to another location 2 days later so he could get the same dessert!! We will definitely go back the next time we are in Chicago.
Vanille isn’t vanillaLook at the feet on these macarons from @vanillechicago ! They offer a wide variety of flavors, from a bright blue vanilla to cookie dough and seasonal offerings like the bright red pop rocks one I tried for my collab with @grabbdapp
Tried ordering a cake for my mothers 70th birthday. Initial outreach was fast after submitting an online inquiry form. I sent inspiration photos as requested and was told I needed to finalize the order the next day so it would be ready in time. I followed-up via phone and email and wasn’t given any next steps. They told me to wait to hear back via email. When I called back again trying to finalize the order was put on hold multiple times spoke with the multiple people. Was told if I had called an hour later my order would not have been put in on time. The woman was rushing my cake options on the phone and kept saying how busy they were. No one clearly looked at the concise email I put together referencing the photos, style of cakes, colors, etc. finally moved forward with another bakery that was responsive, accommodating and very helpful. I never take the time to write reviews, but they have clearly taken on too many orders that they can handle. This level of horrible customer service certainly takes the cake.
We surprised my best friend and their mother with a private tea service and it was such a delightful experience. Not only were the teas top notch and the food absolutely delectable, but the service was also incredible - one staff member even took the time to bring my friend birthday macaroons with a candle and a sweet Mother’s Day balloon to their mom. Thank you to the entire staff for an afternoon we won’t soon forget. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!
can't believe I'm a Native Chicagoan and overlooked this charming collection of food vendors and locally owned boutique style shops! Today I took a long leisurely hike from the West loop back to River North and finally ran into the French Market located within the Canal street Metra station. I found so many tempting food vendors and chose Frietkoten Belgian Fries because it's been ages since I've had genuine Belgian Friet prepared with dipping sauces. I took my time chatting with a couple of friendly female professionals on their lunch break then explored a bit of crystals ? that were set on display by Michael who does a wonderful job helping out customers at the information desk. Michael told me the crystal vendor was away at a Rosemont crystal convention but he'd be happy to help me make a purchase and help me pay the owner since he knew his contact information. I must have spent a couple hours here just eating and wandering around and met so many interesting characters. Igor Irbe owns a map design shop here so go have a look and absorb the good vibes! I am so thankful to Michael today for providing me with useful advice and making my shopping experience more magically enfused! ? I'm definitely looking forward to future visits! Oh and they do allow service animals here and go have a look at the Barking Spot Bakery because they have plenty of gourmet treats for dogs and cats ? here too!
The lady at the counter was rude to me and my mother while we were placing our order. The macaroons taste all the same despite being “different” flavors and they are not worth the price. over priced and low quality baking
Got some small celebration cakes. The key lime with the coconut was nice - definitely a more subtle flavor from the key lime I'm used to. The chocolate one was also good.
Quick and friendly service! Each dessert was so good! I would definitely recommend.
The best place for pastries in Chicago.
