Very nice little place with great fun food options & reasonable prices.The place is very chill & welcoming & the lady working there is so nice welcoming, & helpful I love this place.I ordered 2 scoops of gelatos , I got two huge scoops & it was very tasty. This is now my go to to spot for fun foods options .
I had been having a rough day and after just missing Jimmy John’s business hours by a few minutes, i decided to walk a block over to Uptown Underdawg. It did not disappoint? This was my second time trying them and I was still just as impressed. Victor really made my visit special. He not only spelled my name right on his first guess writing it on my bag, but he showed me so much kindness throughout my visit. On a day like today, it meant so much I wanted to cry. I really appreciated him.My veggie dog and fries also tasted so fresh, I was so happy jimmy John’s ended up being closed! Will definitely be back for a another visit very soon
Been here MANY times, and I shall keep coming back many more even though I no longer live in the neighborhood! Friendly young folks behind the counter, and a nice variety in their menu. You're gonna be hard-pressed to find better prices for the quality of products. My favorite thing here are the nuggets, everytime I get them they are just the right amount of crispy. They are kind like a better version of a fusion between McDonald's and Wendy's nuggets!
This place is awesome. We happened upon it by mistake and left really fat and happy. Great food, great environment, and conveniently located right next to the CTA station.
Excellent Chicago hotdog and fries. Right price, great quality. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu!

I LOVE this place! Unassuming storefront with a very comfortable vibe and lots of vintage items and artifacts to look at. There are also games and a tv, as well as a basketball goal. I spend entirely too much time and money here but I wouldn’t have it any other way.Uptown Underdawg is a neighborhood staple. The staff is unmatched and the gelato never disappoints. As a neighbor, I’ve walked here when it was snowing just to get their gelato before. It’s really that good!My favorite item here is the veggie dog. There’s no imitation meat, but instead a perfectly marinated carrot that serves as the dog. It sounds confusing but once you taste it you’ll know you’ve made the right choice.The food is great, the staff is better, and you pay a little for a lot. I’m glad to have this staple so close by!
Amazing! I had the patty melt hot dog and it was fantastic. It's a small place located in a strip mall that is very unassuming but DON'T pass it up. The staff is fantastic, food amazing and the atmosphere really cool. There is a wall of notes left by patrons that's cool to check out.
In the area for work and decided to stop by. Got a dog and a burger everything on em. Those Chicago dogs are done right that’s for sure. Definitely coming back. Someone said french fries are aight, but french fries are life and these fries are on point.
Hot dog and fries are so good. So are the chicken nuggets! Service is fast and the customer service is great! I hope they’re in uptown for a long time!
