I have been to this lounge about six times during the Covid pandemic. I understand that the food options are limited due to the pandemic. However, I think that it would be possible to have at least one option with no dairy. Even the vegetarian option here was full of dairy. This gives Vegans and Lactose Intolerant people no options for a snack. I would like to point out that Lactose Intolerance is extremely common on the planet (~70% of the global population).I am a Delta Platinum member, as well, and the Delta food offerings are much better.
Nice spot for passengers traveling all over the world, who fly through the Chicago O'Hare airport and who got some time to kill, due to a long layover (like myself today).???Good food within the lunch time frame, open buffet with sandwiches, salads and soup. But they offer some beers as well.????
I purchased a daily pass to see if I could recognize the value before purchasing a yearly membership. Boy, was I glad I did. And I know most would expect me to blast the food and beverage scene, but I won’t go into that obvious disappointment, since so many others already have. The service upon entry was very rude. Both staff were eating and drinking at the desk. I felt like I was in competition with their food, as they were very rude to me, as well as several pass holders in line ahead of me.Now to the club…all alcohol within view was a $12 up charge. The only booze included with the price of admission was hidden below the bar. I feel like a $65 day pass would allow me to drink Makers Mark (not that makers is anything special). But nope. $12.The bathrooms were a disaster, despite the morning rush being over. I had to request someone attend to urine-covered toilets, which took about 20-minutes.Now to the service. I love everyone equally and I’m not racist. But none of the bar or server staff spoke any English. This made any requests very difficult. For example, there were no plates out. I verbalized and signaled the need for a plate but my only response was “no no not right now”. I’m assuming she wouldn’t get me plates because she was busy stocking the [weak] buffet with dried-out cheese chunks and bologna sandwiches. Fast-forward 15-minutes and the plates magically appeared…as I was eating my sandwich out of a tiny soup bowl. Very frustrating. Especially when travelers only have limited time to pop in for a quick bite and maybe a coffee, pending the coffee machine works, which it wasn’t (common with airport lounges).Anyway, this was a bad showing of something I was hoping to be more fulfilling and worth the $650/year membership fee. Nope.
First, there is a large fee to enter with some exceptions. I fly a lot so I have a membership. It is a nice place to get away from the crowd of first time fliers. I must say, the selection and quality of food has changed post COVID. There is less of a selection and quality has decreased. All said, if you need a quick snack and some time out of the terminal, this is the place.
This was a nice experience. It was very quiet and relaxing and so much better than sitting at the gate or in a busy restaurant. Food choices were a bit limited and consisted of cold sandwiches and wraps, which were of okay quality.
I(premium economy passenger) came to drop off my 88 year old grandpa(business class passenger), who can barely walk and speak English. As I entered, I told about my grandpa, and as soon as she found out that I am not traveling business, I was told very rudely to leave right away, even from the lobby while i was just waiting for a wheel chair to come take him inside. I was just trying to ensure my grandpa gets to rest somewhere before 14 hour flight, and I was spoken to like I am not worth anything cause I didn't buy a business ticket for myself. United, learn to put people first, regretting giving you guys so much business in the past. Congratulations, you just lost the thousands of dollars of business we provide you every year. #learntoputpeoplefirst
Nice place to relax between flights. Not much private space but plenty of comfy common areas available with outlets at every seat.Sandwiches, snacks, soft drinks, booze and beer on the house.Beats the terminal ANY day!HIGHLY RECOMMEND
It's only ok or fine. Not stellar. Better than nothing, but it does not stand out. There's no real meals there; only the same old boring snacks. Enough seating. Clean men's toilets. This is the club in C. 10/26/19: this early morning I went to the lounges in B & C. I missed the hot items, because they start at 7 am, & I had to catch my connection. The staff were all nice & helpful. I usually fly so late & transfer so early I missed the hot food offerings, but on this trip I noticed that they served a nice hot pasta with chicken and cheese for a dinner offering & hot eggs and sausage in the morning. Nice, but I do not like the restricted times for hot offerings in the am & pm. 1/10/22: 8:45 am. Not crowded at all. Nice hot & cold breakfast items. Relaxing lounge.
Nice clean place to spend a few hours before our flight ?
Very limited selection of hot drinks. If you are not a coffee drinker, there are no alternatives available like tea or hot chocolate. Choice of foods is also a disappointment.
