Should be great after they add the new menu but right now it's just "grab and go" - translated packaged food similar to a covid-fearing masker motel breakfast or gas station. I was the only person in the lounge at 1030 in the morning so I get the sense everyone else is just waiting for the real food to return too.Current breakfast offerings include1. Packaged oatmeal/cereal2. Mini muffins3. Blueberry parfait in plastic cup (like gas station)4. Egg salad sandwich in plastic sullifane5. Full oranges/bananas/apples6. Tea/coffee/juices7. White bread bagels in plastic sullifane8. Egg/cheese (no meat) biscuit in plastic - similar to gas station. These would be good but they appeared to have been sitting out for a whileThat is the full menu folks. The Delta sky club is way better if you have ability to get inside.
The female that check you in not friendly at all, very demanding and not nice. If you dont like your job go somewhere else. The rest was excellent. Little pricey lounge $60. I used 1 pass that my credit card gave me. Delicious Egg Salad sandwich. I dont like that they didn't have bottled water
This a great lounge. Lots of space to sit and several serving stations around the room.I took advantage of the private phone rooms to handle some work.Really like it.
Great place to relax before boarding! So quiet as well. Breakfast has changed a bit because of COVID but still has nutritious options. Overall, the morning visit I had before my 7 am flight was very pleasant. The club is huge!
Got stuck here for a couple hours when our UA2304 SFO-EWR flight got diverted due to weather in Newark. The club here is modern and bright. The staff were very friendly. Only small issue was that at the time (July 2021) there was only a small amount of packaged cold food and sodas available.
The simple way to describe this place is that it is a walk-in vending machine. I flew Polaris business class internationally recently. Access to the “club” was included. What that meant was decent seating options and gas station like food. That is not an exaggeration. The buffet was stocked with microwaved burritos in their plastic wrap, pre-wrapped hot dogs and some cups of frozen cherry tomatoes as a healthy option. There is a soda fountain but it was turned off because of “covid” or whatever cheap excuse they used that day. The Polaris lounge was closed for who knows what reason. It’s just sad that you can spend nearly $8,000 on a plane ticket and be met with such sub par options. Hopefully I can fly Polaris again but will skip this lounge simply to avoid disappointment.Oh and part of the window shade system collapsed randomly and nearly impaled the person seated next to me. Staff just treated it like a minor inconvenience instead of the real threat it posed.
WARNING: this specific club will NOT let you in with a one time pass. There is no way for you to know that except to show up and be disappointed.Delta Platinum Medallion member here. I received a one time pass for the United Club as I recently moved to Chicago and have been exploring United as my go-to new airline. Like any other avid traveler, I showed up to the airport with enough time to get to my gate and a few minutes in between to visit the club. When I scanned my pass, I was told that even though my flight boards in five minutes, that I was not allowed to enter this specific club because it gets filled to capacity too frequently. I was disappointed that I wasn’t given an exception given that I only had 5 minutes until my flight boarded. This left me with a negative first impression of how United runs things. There was no way for me to know that I would encounter this issue. To the inconsiderate agent up front, I will surely keep this in mind in considering United as my new airline.
It would be unfair to post a bad review about this club for their food options as they are dealing with pandemic protocols. I will say that my two teens snd I were thankful fir this clean and spacious escape from a VERY busy airport. We had an 8 hour layover so I can say I saw all the food options that were given during the day. There was fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, espresso drinks, biscotti, cheese sticks, chips, small pre-made salad, bean and cheese burritos, veggies, hummus, ramen cups and hot dogs. Our bartender Renee was very kind.
Good, clean united club. Seating was plentiful and there were multiple charging stations. Pre-packaged food was serviceable, accounting for covid, and there were good drinks at the bar. Complimentary beers were the usual bud and Miller; United really should consider using one of the local breweries for complimentary beer in all of their lounges.
Came to the United Lounge at 7am on Wednesday. Very spacious and quiet, maybe at 30% capacity. Due to covid protocols they had a few prepackaged food options at the food bar: Egg salad sandwich, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, chobani yogurt, coffee, oj,milk and tea. The wifi is fast. The bathrooms were clean and spacious too.
