Service was great, food was superb and cocktails were delicious. Def recommend getting different dishes to share. Burger was really great, as were the lamb meatballs.
Ok it’s time someone posted up some good pictures of this place. The vibe is slide-in cool. All OG Chicago brick and wood. I only had time to sample the starters, but they made my week. Or month. Nicely crafted OFs in the good glasses. Everything is on point, right down to the open air view of the L over Little Mel’s. Straight up Logan Square.
Lovely little restaurant with cool decor and a mighty beer list. My wife said the burger was the best she's had in a long time. I had the pork chop and it was a beastly cut. Minus one star for seemingly forcing their staff (who were great) to wear masks.
Wow, the food is delicious! We ordered four dishes and everything tasted so good. I especially loved the black cod with shredded root slaw, green beans and pancetta broth. I had a moment similar to Remy in the movie Ratatouille, where fireworks go off in his mind after tasting a beautiful blend of flavors and textures. Friendly service, fun cozy space, great list of whiskies and beers.

Had the most incredible first meal here (there will be more). The ambiance, the service, and THE FOOD (the food the food the food!) MMM. Got a little of everything - the flavors are strong but we’ll balanced, ingredients were fresh, and everything came out really well timed. Highlights were the cauliflower and the burger. Oh and the beer selection is large and in charge. Everything was especially crisp there. That new tap goodness. Check it out!
Another great addition from Meadowlark Hospitality. My wife and I are here a couple times each week. Beer selection is solid, but short of great, and I love the different Old Fashioned variations. Menu is just the right size — not intimidating, but enough to allow you to explore.
The Union burger is excellent, the best thing about it is the bone marrow aoili that gives it that extra umami-ness!! The fried onion strings give the burger a nice crunch and salted skin-on yukon potatoes offset that juicy / savory burger taste. The beer selection, however, is average (Beer Temple is the high bar). Also, imo, its way too dark further away you are from the windows in a fairly small space. The staff was very friendly!
Cute and cozy atmosphere with a great draft and cocktail menu. Also a few ciders on draft for the gluten free!
Loved this new spot from the owners of Lardon! Good vibes and atmosphere and everything we had was amazing. Get the papas bravas for an appetizer. We will definitely be back!
