Great place with a great environment.Just about every corner or the place is unique and pretty nice look at as there is a lot going on.Food: I got their 12oz steak and it was pretty good 8/10 when compared to other well known steak houses.I included a picture of a dessert I got but don't recall the name- it is an amazing and a must have.To drink I had a black Paloma which was pretty good.Overall this is place you want to go on a date or somewhere to have a nice dinner and relax.
One of my favorite spots in river north for an elevated meal with decent short term availability. Been here for brunch and dinner multiple times and have gotten consistently great service and food.Dinner menu meat dishes are all very good and they come with taco shells and things to top it. The duck and waffle for brunch is also amazing. Some items are personal dishes, some are to share.
Came here for a birthday brunch and what a CUTE spot.First of all the decorations/interior is fantastic. The chef has brought artifacts back from his hometown in Oaxaca and they are over the restaurant. The space is HUGE and has a bunch of tables. Also the bathrooms were gorgeous and I really loved the handwashing station. The food was also just wonderful. The guacamole was incredibly flavored and light. The rest of the brunch dishes we ordered were so well balanced and delicious. We got a pitcher of sangria which was the perfect balance of sweet, flavorful, and refreshing.Great spot, would definitely come again!
I was not impressed. Was there for brunch and food was ok. Nothing I would consider outstanding. Brunch options were limited and they were also out of several items. Also, no options for vegetarians/vegans. Portions were small and the only thing I found to be upscale were the prices. Staff was friendly, though, definitely not dressed for what's described as an upscale restaurant. The place is unique and earthy but would not be my place of choice. I have had way better Mexican inspired food.
We went to Tzuco for brunch today and it was spectacular! The atmosphere was relaxed and upscale, all at once. The visual display of decorations was a playground for the eye. Our waiter was attentive and informative. The food was excellent - I had the Duck Waffle and Blueberry Pie. Both were so supremely flavorful and satisfying while not being overly heavy. I wish we had gone there sooner in our trip so we could visit a second time. Thank you, Tzuco!
It was a nice experience. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant, not for people looking for burritos, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You must try Lemon for dessert. You will not be disappointed. ?
SpecTACOlar Brunch!Food 5/5The brunch menu includes an assortment of authentic Mexican dishes and brunch staples with a Mexican twist. The flavors are bold and tightly balanced. Dishes run large so take that into account when orderingService 5/5Server was very knowledgeable and had lots of great insights about the menu. He was very helpful navigating the menu and pairing the right items.Atmosphere & Decor 5/5Love, love, love! The restaurant’s decor seems inspired by relics and archeological finds. It’s stylish but with rustic, rugged vibes. Chef’s kiss!
Enjoyed this restaurant. The Squid ink Fideos and chicken tamale were absolutely fantastic. SkipThe fried snapper as the nuggets come out flavorful but dry. Best dessert was the sweet corn bread. absolutely amazing. Service was good
Tzuco is one of my fav places to go when you want a quick bite by yourself. I love dining at their bar.
