Ordered delivery of ribs (prohibition sauce), beans (zesty) and onion rings and loved all of it.Really one of the best ribs I had and the onion rings were wonderful.

Sure, the ribs are perfect and so is everything else. But have you had any better beans? Silky ribbons of pork and perfectly soft beans. Never had much better. Coleslaw was top tier. Creamed Spinach was darn good too.

Comfy, cozy, immaculate vibes kind of place. Staff are kind, patrons gave off a kind vibe, all the beers we love were available. The ribs were pretty good and, overall just a really pleasant, positive feeling being here. Thanks Twin Anchors for being that extra-loved old space holding it down for decades. Chef’s kiss.

Ribs were as great as everyone says, really fall off the bone. If your a bit afraid of hot stuff like me, don't shy away from the sauce that is served with the Onion Rings (also excellent) it's wonderful. Also, the only reason I can think that a SMALL minority criticize the ribs would be because there prefer tough chewy ribs your have to gnaw at. These are fall off the bone tender. Finally, wonderful friendly waitress and owner. Made us feel really welcome.

Just checking in since last review. Still our #1 casual go-to in Chicago. Have eaten here several times since...whenever we can. Actually drive down from northern burbs to either dine here or just pick up and go home. Clear friend and family favorite. The take-out travels well--and comes with all the fixings you love from the restaurant. If you are traveling to Chicago--eat here. No reservations, just show up, put your name in and grab a drink. Enjoy the history and ambiance of this true Chicago institution. True story: during COVID pandemic, we picked up and brought it up north to an outdoor beer garden where we could bring in food. Bartender from a good 15 feet away calls out---"Oh, man, is that Twin Anchors? I love that smell!" Mind you, we were 40 minutes away....distinctive. Stop reading, just go.

The Ribs. The service was EXCELLENT & friendly. The Food was YUMMY!

Atmosphere was fantastic, our server Betty was exceptional friendly, helpful. Had rack of ribs, they were pretty day and NO seasoning on them, place was pretty cool, just didnt really enjoy the food...sorry

Come for the atmosphere, not the ribs.Twin Anchors is in a quiet neighbor with a easy going local feel. The service great, and quick.I can name about 30 places with better ribs though. 10th percentile ribs for sure. Ribs had no bark/smoke, minimal seasoning, and were over cooked. I’d normally give them the benefit of the doubt and say I got a bad batch, but I’m pretty sure someone behind the grill cooked these ribs this way intentionally. Just a bad recipe. They also gave me some weird sauce that tasted like Christmas perfume. It had cloves or cinnamon in it or something.I’m planning on coming back because the ribs lived so under their hype that I need to make sure I’m right before I tell people and lose any social credibility. For now, Twin Anchors is just the kind of place I’d take my family to eat quaint meal after Sunday church after my nephews first communion. Or where I’d meet with my neighbor for a quick beer on the patio because we’re sweaty after our game of tennis and the weathers nice plus we don’t want to bother the folks inside with our smell. But I wouldn’t come here for the ribs that’s for sure.

Very Nice Hidden Gem. The Ribs were solid and service was great. I also had a great tasting Old Fashion before dinner. Beer selection is also on point. These guys have been around for awhile and it’s always a great time. It’s the Tangy Spicy Sauce for me.

Great atmosphere! Staff is helpful and nice. Food was quick and delicious. Will definitely be bringing friends here in the future!
