I’ve been here multiple times and have gone here with friends since before the pandemic. I really want to give this place a raving review but this last experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I walked outside to catch a breath of air because it was so loud and crowded, but they wouldn’t let me back in. They said they didn’t recognise me so I was trying to be understanding and offer that I had recently came out of the bar to catch a break and offered to show them a receipt of my purchases at the bar (which they refused to even look at, and acknowledge)I even had friends come out and talk to me but the man at the door who lied and told me his name was “Steve” (which I know it was not) would let them all back in “no questions asked” and refuse me because of what he claimed was “bad behaviour” even though I only addressed him in the same manor he treated me. Even one of the servers came out to smoke and ask what was going on. I am not at all an angry person and managed to maintain an appropriate manor even in the face of his allegations against my so called “attitude.” He was not in any way accommodating to me even as I waited for my friends to close their tabs and move our business elsewhere. This has been a tough review to give as my friends and I lovethis bar and I’m not saying the service and bartenders are horrible, but the way I was treated from “Steve at the door” was completely out of line.
Love this place. It’s a cozy tiki bar and it’s a really fun place if you want to do karaoke in front of a bunch of strangers that will always support you! Everyone is friendly and nice, drinks are great. If you want a table get there early at 7 and get your songs in for karaoke early because it gets crowded and the queue for songs gets very long. Otherwise, one of my favorite bars to just have a great time at!
My friends and i came here to have a great night out with karaoke; however, when we tried to request multiple songs the "DJ" let us know we could not make any more requests until we bought more drinks. My friends and I bought another drink, but he insisted that one did not…the one that did not buy a drink has been sober so why is he encouraging her to buy a drink? When asked about the drink policy he said that everyone must buy a drink and if you weren’t you need to buy a pizza….he further wanted to explain that due to COVID-19 they have been struggling. So why is it my job to buy every drink in the entire place? My sober friend should be able to enjoy a night out with friends...when talking with the manager, he insisted he would talk with him but never did? Very disappointed in this "establishment" and even more disappointed that they made my sober friend feel like she should have bought a drink? I will never come back. Based on the other reviews, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Spend your money elsewhere!!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would.
It was my birthday First time here for all of us. Server was horrible looked and acted to be on something. She closed our tab after we went to smoke and talk. My sister ordered a slice pizza she asked small or large so we thought two different size slices. She said small she brought a whole small pizza and said that’s what we asked for. I never asked for anything I was there when she ordered. Then was mad we asked why she closed our tab. Not sure we will come back at this point.
Great time but my cousin was upset about the karaoke dj .. she said her was very rude .
The cliental were absolutely pushy and rude. Not even worth walking in for a drink... However, we did get a drink, downed it and left quickly.
Had a great time there. Would definitely go back!
After a fun night, I had a horrible experience today when attempting to pick up my purse and cellphone I forgot there. I got to Trader Todd’s shortly after they opened today and was rudely greeted by a Darlene Snell lookalike. I explained I left my purse and phone there, my phones location shows that it’s there and it’s pinging as we are talking. She first denied they were there, then when she heard the ping of my phone she said she didn’t have time to look for it because she worked a double and the people who worked last night were lazy and didn’t clean up. I again asked her to look for my purse and when she violently refused. I had to call the police and ask for assistance in recovering my belongings. As we were waiting for them to arrived another employee arrived, I explained the situation he willingly started to look for my belongings but became a little reluctant because she started to rant and rave about him doing so. Once he found out I called the police he was able to find my purse. Needless to say we won’t ever go back! It’s amazing how one person can ruin it for an establishment!
I love Crazy Keith Cavanaugh! He always brings the heat during karaoke! So much fun!!!
Loved my last trip there! Keith Cavanaugh was great as a DJ! I loved his joking style! Kyle (in the back room) did an amazing job as well! I highly recommend coming here if you like singing karaoke!
