The best Chinese food in the city. I come here at least once a month. They are open 24 hours and when you walk in it feels like family. The food is fresh, well seasoned and absolutely delicious. I’ve been coming here for many many years, and I have never been disappointed. It’s not a fancy place some would even say a dive, the menus are misspelled and raggedy but it al adds to the charm of this place. It sometimes feels like the people who own the restaurant are identical to my family, my aunt, my uncle, my mom but in Chinese. I always feel at home here. Wonton soup, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, Mooshu pork, sweet and sour chicken, beef with vegetables and mushrooms, even their exotic dishes like duck soup or sea cucumber are amazing. Food is fast, delicious and I have never felt sick or my stomach bothering me after eating here as I have in other Chinese places. I’ve come here at all hours of the day and night and the quality is perfect.
This has been my go to for Chinese food for years!!!! Although I've moved out of the city I come all the way from Oak Forest just to get their food. The last couple of trips haven't been the best! I went today and my rice tasted a bit burnt yet was very gummy ( Not enjoyable). Like it wasn't fresh and the shrimp in my jumbo shrimp fried rice didn't look too jumbo.
I been a long time customer since the 80s it’s still a fantastic old school spot in Chinatown. The chow fung noodle with beef was excellent as well as the egg rolls homemade sweet and sour.
I thought the food was delicious and generous portioned, but be aware that many dim sum items are not available. They have an extensive menu which is quite impressive. While my service was great and friendly, I did observe another customer receiving less friendly service.
Horrible customer service. They are so quick to accept money but when they make mistakes they are quick to blame the customers. I repeated what I wanted 3x and the lady on the phone still messed it up and tried to blame me. I specifically said ‘pepper shrimp’ just like their MENU says. Lady on the phone said ‘you have to specify that you want the soft shrimp!’ My relatives and I have ordered from here plenty of times and we’ve always said ‘pepper shrimp’ and they ALWAYS get it right. I called them and the lady right away started telling me that I was wrong. We agreed to return the food to get the correct one. We live 40 minutes away so you would think because of the inconvenience they would at least give a discount for the misunderstanding but no. My husband got there and he tried to explain what happened and right away the lady cut him off and said ‘she messed up the order! She needs to specify that she wants the soft shrimp’. I was on the phone hearing everything and I said ‘since when do you have to specify if we always ordered it like that and never have had an issue before.’ She started yelling, cutting him off and didn’t let him speak. She started speaking a different language to the other employees and they all ganged up on him and started going off on him. My husband requested a refund and said ‘Is this how you treat customers?’ They lady started yelling at him for wasting their food but yet she wasted our time. Never coming back here again.
I don’t think it’s my job to have to discuss with the employees here on how to treat a customer when the order is wrong. I ordered plenty of times here, but all of sudden my favorite dish has to be ordered in a “specific way” -employee in order to be correct???Normally don’t write reviews but this is well deserved.I strongly believe there is rats in this location, because there was clearly one shouting at me behind the register because I didn’t want to pay the difference of my incorrect order to what it actually should of been. It costs $10 to lose a regular customer 3 Happiness!! Very disappointed.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am extremely disappointed in this establishment. As soon I walked in, I was not greeted. I was DEMANDED to a table. After waiting 20 minutes to be even acknowledged, I was confronted with an aggravated and stressed out waiter. We continued to give our order to the waiter, she seemed distracted and annoyed. We waited another 15 minutes to see that our ENTIRE order was wrong and they had the audacity to get loud saying I wasn’t specific enough when I was ordering yet when I told them SPECIFICALLY what I wanted they still took my order and messed it up. Make it make sense people! Never had issues before until today. Never coming here again, they lost a loyal customer. They know nothing on exceeding customer expectations and finding a solution.
I’m outraged at the fact that there was no sanitizer units in the facility. With the rise of Covid-19 you would think an establishment like would have safety procedures. My wife and I walked out when we seen two employees wearing no gloves. I’m not the one to really post but situations like this has to be acknowledged.
If I could rate NO STARS I would.I found a cockroach in my rice and when I complained, the employee told me that I put it there myself. After I mentioned this to a friend she said the same thing happened to her. At this point they should add “cockroach fried rice” to their menu if that’s what they’re going to be serving. They have no shame.
I ate what I thought was beef and got explosive diarrhea. I had to be in IV antibiotics and now I have developed health issues. I regret ever eating here.
